Had an absolutely fantastic time at the Paints and Paddles weekend! Our cabin was cozy and comfortable, the food was lovely, and the camp was a laid back place to spend time relaxing. We had so much fun rafting, which was a mix of scenic floating and sporty rapids, and the guides took incredible care of us. Hunter Valley were amazing hosts and we hope to come back again soon!

Such an amazing experience! We did a half day rafting experience and our guide Taylor was so fun and professional. She told lots of awesome stories in between the rapids and keep us all feeling safe and comfortable! Would definitely recommend and will be going back!

My friends and I went white water rafting for the first time and had a wonderful experience. We spent the day with John and Emma. They were so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. This experience would even be a great team building activity. Thank-you so much for providing FUN! My friend and I are adrenaline junkies which prepared us to crave levelling up. Thank-you HVA! You’re positive, chill demeanour was humbling.

We just got back from another incredible weekend of rafting with Hunter Valley Adventures — and it keeps getting better every year!

Three years ago, we started with just one Scouting group and 5 youth from Edmonton. Last year, we were excited to have another group from the Edmonton area join us, bringing 15 youth in total. This year, it grew even bigger — 4 Scouting groups from the Edmonton area came together with 33 youth and 10 Scouters for an unforgettable weekend!

The guides were absolutely fantastic, as always — professional, friendly, and great with the youth. A huge shoutout to Kelly, who is truly second to none. She goes above and beyond not just for us, but clearly with her whole team as well. Her leadership and care make a huge difference.

We’re already looking forward to next year — and bringing a few more groups along to share in this amazing experience. Highly recommend for any group looking for a safe, fun, and adventurous outing!

Amazing Staff and Experience. My fourth year whitewater rafting and by far the best river I have done yet. Slightly difficult to find so pay attention to the directions in your confirmation email. Amazing people and river.

HVA is a jewel! Owners Kelly and Shay (sp?) continue to grow and keep this historic base camp a fun, functional, off the grid experience. The raft guides were incredible. Vic, Jen and AJ (in training) made everyone relaxed and we had a phenomenal time. Great experience with the Women Who Explore group!

Our group hit the river for a full day girls trip, and what an amazing day! 5 out of the 6 girls were first timers and definitely anxious, but our guides Jeffery and Kelly were outstanding!

Their safety first approach gave us confidence that we were in good hands at all times, and their expertise combined with super fun personalities delivered an exciting and adrenaline boosting day.

The scenery was incredible and the rapids did not disappoint!

You don't need to stray very far out your own backyard to experience in a "vacation worthy" adventure right here in beautiful Alberta. Only advice I would have to anyone looking to book; Ladies...wear a 2 piece swimsuit! It won't see the light of day under your gear, but you will appreciate it when nature calls 🙂 Thank you for a truly wonderful day HVA!
