This is the absolute worst motel around, the wiring and safety of the building is totally compromised. I had people fighting outside, also people were trying to get into my room. And I checked out early and they did not refund even a fraction of what i paid for. I paid for 5 days up front, I spent one night there and there was a brawl in the parking lot, there were people trying to break into my room, the rooms are not up to code and very dangerous, and it is in the worst part of town. Were drug addicts frequent. There were people smoking methamphetamine in the room beside me. Do not go to this place

This motel is a very dirty place to stay. The blankets are older than I was, it had a floral pattern from the 70's. I felt the need to buy my own sheets and blankets as there stains in the sheets. They advertised the room as a 2 bedroom and it was just a 1 bedroom with a mattress in the living room with no door between the rooms. The cupboards were disgusting, and the shower was nasty as well with lots of long gross hair plugging the drain. I had to put a sheet on the couch because it was gross as well. There was a mouse trap under the sink. When I booked my room, they quoted me $2000 per month and when I got there they charged me $2200 plus tax, $2530 total. 25% more than my original quote. They did the same thing to my friend that was staying there. I would never stay here again. I do not recommend this to anyone. Gross!!!!

This is BY FAR the very worst place I’ve ever stayed. I would give negative stars if I could! It reeked like cigarette smoke and there was cigarette buts everywhere, cat food all over the floor (when we were told no pets). The place clearly hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There was holes in the wall (that we got blamed for despite us having pics to prove it wasn’t us). Also, the owner Erica Ortega is very VERY rude. She was rude the second we got there, certainly no way to treat your guests. We asked for a heater because the room was pretty cold at night and we were denied that after being yelled at. After leaving the room she made up a whole bunch of lies about damages and us being loud and then tried to get us to pay for the damages that were already there. I would never ever stay there again, even for free! It also smelled like cat pee really bad in some corners of the room. Gross. -10 stars if I could! I do NOT recommend this place to anyone!!!!

This place is a diamond in the rough, and under any other trip circumstances I would have rolled right by. But... with an overheated vehicle towed into Castlegar on Saturday night of a long weekend, and literally every hotel we called full - I made a hail mary call to this little motel and found an angel in the owner. She assured us they had space for us and our dog but also comped us a kitchenette suite in case we needed to stay multiple days and even pre chilled the ac in the room (after 10+ hrs in the car and 33+ heat). The room was cleaner than some of the nicest resorts we've traveled to in Mexico and we nearly cried with gratitude to have somewhere safe for the night that we felt completely comfortable in. She did mention they sold the motel, otherwise if I ever found myself stuck in the kootenays again I would rebook on purpose with a smile. Price was unbeatable, as was the attention to detail. Thank you a million times over from two weary travelers and one tired pup.

Check in was a breeze and the managers are very friendly and accommodating. The suites are huge but very outdated. Kitchenettes and bathrooms are stocked with all the basics you'd need. Clean though, and for the price of a night it is quite a steal. I had the room right next to the road and thought the noise would bug me but I couldn't hear traffic at all! The trail to the river needs a bit of trimming but is a nice plus. The Tim Hortons right next door is also a big plus! And I honestly had one of the best sleeps in a long time on the cozy mattress. Must be new or high end? Definitely a great investment where it counts!

Great motel run by a very friendly family! It's close to all amenities and has a beautiful hiking trail right behind it. Some rooms have a full kitchen with all the cookware needed. The price is good too. I highly recommend.

Older motel but rooms are updated and clean. We had newer carpet, a very nice bathroom and a full kitchen. New paint made it fresh and inviting. The linens were very nice. The location is great right above the river and a super base to explore the area. Manager Lauralee could not have been more gracious or helpful. Great value and they have weekly rates. I notice the daily rate is cheaper on Booking.
