Kenzie’s fishing was a top notch fishing experience. The gear, the boats, the lunch, and of course, the fish! We had two boats on the river to celebrate my father-in-laws 65th birthday. The guides, Kenzie and Ed, kept us on the fish all day. We have never fished a river on a drift boat before and the guides showed us how to read the river and told us where to cast. We each caught browns, rainbows, cutthroats and one BIG STEELHEAD. To top it all off there was a warm fire and chairs waiting for us to share our fishing adventure at the end of the day.

First class all the way. Friendly and ultra knowledgeable about every inch of that river and the species we fished within it. Family style operation insured great food for the day. Had a couple novice fisherman fishing like we were experts early in the day and kept us on the fish even when the river was not cooperating. Highest possible rating for a really great guide and a real nice dude

We went 2019/11/15 and saw a ton of fish. Kenzie is super easygoing and a pleasure to spend 7 hours with. We saw 9 bear and 4 or 5 other fishers. I have two suggestions. My brother and I are not fishers and had many nibbles but few on. If you're like us, when anchored, ask Kenzie to hook the fish and then play it yourself. The other suggestion is ask for two sandwiches (delicious) and more baking (also tasty). Thanks Kenzie.

Kenzie sure knows the upper Cowichan well.
He's friendly and knowledgeable, everything you want in a guide. His wife Kyt packs a fine lunch to boot.
Best of all you'll set out from his home base miles ahead of the crowd and not see another drift boat all day!!

I enjoyed a wonderful day of fishing with Kenzie on the Cowichan River. This is a beautiful trout stream and he did an excellent job of guiding me down a good length of it by row boat.
