I had a bad experience booking with ASAP- read my story

I booked a flight to Manila and the carrier is Philippine Airlines and I'm carrying my mom's remains to be buried in the Philippines. I bought a direct flight and I ended with a flight that has a stopover and I have to go to Vancouver to catch a PAL Flight. I spent 4 hours flying to Vancouver and sat at the airport for 6 hours to get a flight to Manila. ASAP must be responsible for reimbursing me since I bought a ticket that is direct and not with a layover!!. I booked the flight with ASAP and not with Philippines Airlines. Therefore, who should sort this problem? No other than ASAP Travel.

They can't stand up with their own customers and always agreeing with the airlines they sell. What a very bad service! Will everyone agree to pay a much more expensive direct flight and then you ended up with a flight that has several hours of stopovers? I will never book with ASAP they must know how to fight for their own customers and not just about selling tickets and make money. Selling Travel Products such as airline tickets is joint responsibility of a travel Agent and their supplier. Anyone who disagree should learn what's the meaning of "liability" !!

0 STARS: WORST TRAVEL AGENCY EVER TO DEAL WITH. It feels like a scam. No one is able to help us with a simple flight change or cancellation that the airlines themselves said we are eligible for. We have spent 10+ hours in the last 4 days trying to resolve our issue with no success, and only frustration and unprofessionalism. They keep giving us the run around and no one is able to help. We are only asking for a full refund on our tickets that we are eligible for, but they are withholding our money. DO NOT USE THEM.

With low reviews why is this business still operating. I can't stand it when companies aren't upfront about their policies for holiday deals. They take your money, and even if you buy cancellation insurance, they conveniently leave out critical information that prevents you from getting a full refund. It's frustrating when even the cancellation policy hides important details. Just a heads-up for fellow travelers: if you get the cancellation policy, the 100% credit can only be used for the exact same route, passenger, and destination. You can't use it for another trip, and you might have to wait weeks for your refund. I won't recommend this service to any of my friends.

ASAP Travel and Tours has been our go to for all our holiday trips and bookings. Carol Bella is highly recommended, she goes above and beyond what you require for a travel agent. She’s always available for any inquires and travel questions you may have.
In recent events. My family had gone through some tough times - Still going through it - I had to reach out to her at 2pm In the Philippines which was 2am est in Canada. She was very accommodating and understanding of our situation and she gave us an answer right away. Before the day was over we were able to extend my mom’s stay in the Philippines to be with family members. Which no other agent will do for you. She’s one of a kind - Ms. Carol - thank you for all that you do, the travel industry will be at a lost without you.

Reality is there are two sides on a coin so ASAP Travel is unfairly defenceless. Anyway we have taken notes of all these with your log id in hopes to reach out to you. Nonetheless, below is an article from Ontario law firm that that you can probably consider for future before writing your reviews.Thank you and God bless.

**Online review sites like Yelp and social media sites like Facebook, or Google are all filled with comments about the business. The positive ones are coveted by companies, the negative ones aren’t. Consumers often read reviews to decide where to eat, shop, find a contractor, or visit a dentist. These reviews can make or break a business. Often, they are a fair assessment of one individual’s experience at a point in time. Sometimes they are nothing short of vitriolic rubbish.

So, what happens when someone leaves a terrible review? Some sites allow them to be appealed, hidden or deleted, but usually, it remains in place for everyone to see, and anyone to find. Can you be sued if you leave a negative review? The short answer is ‘yes’.

ï»żEven if your bad review is a fair assessment of the service or product you may be sued for defamation. In Ontario, defamation laws have not changed significantly since the internet began to be used for reviews. Defamation is presumed to have occurred if it is proved. What that means is that regardless of any cost or suffering, if the statement is proven to be defamatory then the business is presumed to have made their case for defamation and damages are assessed.

To take a simple example, if you had poor service and posted it about it you may be sued and may be required to pay damages. This is not fair, however, defamation laws exist to protect a business from loss of reputation. The review isn’t a full picture of the interaction. The customer may have been rude and belligerent and refused to pay their bill, but that is not reflected in the online review.

What can you do? If you are tempted to leave a negative comment online, you should take a deep breath. Think about what happened and be fair. You may be better off addressing your issue with the manager. Talk to the owner and see if there is a compromise that can be reached. Is the problem with you, or with them?

If you leave a bad review word it very carefully. Better yet, don’t do it. You can simply rate the business with a star and leave it at that. If you have lost money, been injured, or have a contractual issue (work was incomplete or substandard for example) you’ll be better off pursuing your case with a lawyer than with a keyboard.

We purchased two tickets. We had to rebook our return flight quickly due to Covid. We sent them multiple emails and voicemails saying the situation was urgent. It took them 6 business days to get back to us. By then we had already been forced to by other tickets. They said no problem you have a credit to use for a year. When we tried to use redeem the credits 6 months later they had every excuse they could think of why they would not honour the credits. They make up the rules as they go. The only people who call you back quickly are the sales agents to sell you new tickets. If you try to complain to they just pass you from one person to the next. They need to be out of business. Zero stars!
