Le Rocher was absolutely magnificent - one of the nicest places we have stayed to date! The views of the island were unmatched. We are already talking about returning, but would opt to work directly with Property Ink - the local property management company in St-Martin (instead of Rental Escapes).
Rental escapes was disorganized and rather than it being a smooth process, there were a lot of issues that kept coming up. Our originally booked villa was flooded and we had to select another villa. We were provided other options and we opted for Le Rocher. We were then charged over $500 USD for bed rentals as the offered house didn’t have enough beds). We were also told the night before departure that we would be charged for the complimentary transport to the villa that was originally offered. We were told that the owner of the new house didn’t offer this perk - Rental Escapes should have stepped in to ensure our original agreement was upheld (given they were being paid to manage the trip). Once Rental Escapes did finally confirm they would cover the transportation costs, this info was not properly communicated to the Team in St-Martin as I was asked about payment for both airport arrival and return.
We were also booked into restaurants by the Rental Escapes Team that were not family-friendly. Once our local specialist (from Property Ink) heard where we were going, she said it wasn’t appropriate for children and changed our reservations.
Although the trip was still extraordinary, I wish there was better communication and organization with Rental Escapes to avoid needing to manage details that were already agreed upon.

We just returned from our dream vacation in Turks & Caicos, where we booked with Rental Escapes. From the beginning of the process, right through to after we landed back home, Rental Escapes (in our case, Deane, Marina & Samantha) have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. They had a lot of constant changes from us and they never skipped a beat. They were always so accommodating, helpful and incredibly friendly. We didn't worry at all about anything as we knew they were always there for us.

We stayed at Villa Jasmine off of Taylor Bay and it was the perfect location. A 60 second walk to the beach, sunrise of Chalk Sound on one side, sunset of Taylor Bay on the other. The villa is stunning, a perfect combination of a Mediterrean style and Caribbean vibe. Great for families, just keep in mind the 4th bedroom is only accessible through the outside. The house has everything you need. For families, we did see a high chair there. We had our wagon and took the beach chairs, beach toys / floats, umbrella, etc with us daily and it was easy being two adults and two kids 5 and under. There are a ton of beach items in the walk in gated area. The property managers were great as well. Extremely helpful. We will definitely be heading back there again.

I highly recommend Rental Escapes, I can't say enough about their excellent customer service. We will be using them for all future rentals for sure.

We recently rented a very nice and expensive luxury house for a week in St Martin. We were told that we had a private concierge to assist us with whatever we needed. He was there at check in and check out, never in between. First day we had a problem with ants in the kitchen getting into the food. Daily housekeeping ended up being 4 days. Kitchen towels were like car rags, doors and moldings filthy and in dire need of paint. The pool was full of leaves and debris. Toilet seat cracked most of the week. Shower drain was flooding the bathroom. The overall condition of the property was neglected. I reported every one of those issues immediately and got either no response or one a few days later. Upon returning home I emailed the salesman and the follow up arranger, twice, and wasn’t even given the decency of a response. DONT BELIEVE THE LUXURY SALESPITCH.

I've booked my last three trips with Rental Escapes and I will always travel with them going forward. I booked villas in St-Martin (Villa Mango, Villa Amalia), Turks and Caicos (Vision Beach - a must!) and just got back from an amazing post-covid trip to the Dominican Republic (Casa Campo - los Lagos 70). Each trip I've booked, the agents have been extremely helpful. It's incredible to work with agents that are so well travelled and knowledgeable about each country, it feels like you're speaking to a local. That kind of in-depth information about the villa and location makes a world of a difference when you're planning your trip. I've never felt so relaxed and stress free on vacation knowing that my itinerary was super well-informed. Anything we needed on our trip, was taken care of with such detail and ease. I cannot say enough!!!

We worked with Keith Diebel to plan a luxury villa in Jamaica and only gave him 3 days to do it due to a quick change of plans from a ski trip to some sun. He is incredibly dedicated and was answering emails at all hours from us in order to get something booked for us. We went through several villa operators at first trying to secure something, and Keith quickly became the only person we felt comfortable with to book through. We will absolutely be booking again through him. The villa was incredible, we travel a lot and often stay in 5 star hotels and this was a truly unique and special experience for our family. Rental Escapes did a great job helping me plan the perfect birthday vacation. From the moment of inquiry to the day after I returned home there was constant communication between I and the concierge Kat as well as Tania. All of my wants were met and the Villa I booked was top notch. Even the staff at the Villa Turasann in Jamaica were the friendliest people I’ve ever met. Kat did her best to make sure every question was answered and gave her own advice on the best ways to spend our days there. Kat referred me to a private transportation company that was awesome. She also recommended a VIP airport service that definitely came in handy and sped things up for us. I will definitely utilize this company again. I was very happy with the service.

Booking With Rental Escapes: 5 Stars
I found Rental Escapes while looking to rent a luxury property on a Caribbean beach. I found several websites that did this but Rental Escapes did the best job of allowing me to do detailed searches while giving me all the critical information from pricing to pictures. When I reached out to ask more questions about recommendations Amanda S was immediately helpful. She added a few more properties I had not thought of and then helped me narrow down what was best for our group with her personal knowledge of the areas and the properties. I could not be more happy with this part of the experience.

Concierge with Rental Escapes: 3 Stars
I had experience booking tailored luxury trips around the world but booking a luxury villa with Rental Escapes was a different experience. I tried to manage the concierge's expectations and even discussed our trip and sent a list of potential events and excursions up front in the planning. It became clear only after we arrived on site, that our group's expectations were not aligned with the typical villa renters. Most villa renters tend to spend most of their time at the villa and do not have as many daily excursions as we did.

I believe this mismatch in expectations overwhelmed the Rental Escapes staff. They seemed focused on accommodating our diverse requests but may not have been fully prepared to respond in a timely or organized manner. We did not get a complete itinerary until less than 48 hours before we left. That itinerary was a conglomeration of the villa booking and event bookings but was clearly not in any organized format. It was more of a collection of individual booking receipts.

As the primary planner, I experienced significant stress during the planning process. I found myself scrambling to find answers to details and ensure that our group had everything they needed. I believe that if we had opted for a more relaxed stay at the villa with fewer requests, the experience would have been less stressful.

During the planning process, I reached out to Rental Escapes with feedback on how the planning process could be improved. They were quick to arrange meetings and were attentive to my comments. Additionally, the villa staff provided excellent customer service, making calls to local providers and helping to organize details.

In the end, everything worked out well for our guests, but I recommend that travelers with unique or extensive requests communicate their needs clearly with Rental Escapes and consider their concierge's capacity to meet those requests.
