We had an excellent carriage tour! Our tour guides were extremely informative and entertaining. They took us (two carriage party) through Beacon Hill and the park. We had kids with us and they were extremely family-friendly! I would highly suggest doing this tour first thing when you arrive. It helped us figure out where we wanted to visit in the Beacon Hill area.

Worth the price, time - enjoyed the ride and the guide! Very informative - beautiful sights, pleasant ride. Staff was pleasant and customer accommodating - answering questions - and helping with boarding and off boarding. If you have an hour in Victoria - take this tour!

A wonderful 60 minute tour with details of Victoria History that were amazing! The fabulous sights when glide through the tranquil streets of the James Bay Neighbourhood, Beacon Hill Park, and
especially the tour on Belleville Street with the view of the Parliament House and the Marina Bay.
I highly recommend you taking a great time on a horse-drawn carriage ride enjoying the Victoria historic tour.

Absolutely horrible experience Booked a ride for my step daughter’s sweet 16th birthday for her and her two friends. We took a taxi to the place the ride was supposed to be only to be told by the other company that this company had already packed up and left. I phoned the number on the website to be told the owner said it was strange I booked so late as I chose the 1130 pm time slot and thought I wouldn’t show up. I had already prepaid so I’m not sure why they would just leave before we even got there. We arrived at 1110 so we were even early. Now I have three extremely disappointed teen girls and have to pay for a taxi ride back as well from an event that we didn’t even get to go too. The only positive is they are refunding my money. Absolutely do not recommend this company and would recommend the company who was super helpful in telling me who to call and that the company apparently disappoints its costumers regularly.

had a very disappointing experience with Victoria Carriage Tours while trying to book a ride for my family trip from Calgary to Victoria. The employee who answered the phone did not introduce herself, and when I politely asked for her name, she responded very rudely, saying, “What does that have got to do with your ride booking?”

As someone from the service industry, I found this extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I believe introducing yourself—at least with a first name—is basic courtesy, especially when dealing with families and children.

I hope this was just one bad experience, but I called again to confirm, and unfortunately, the same attitude continued. I would caution others before booking with this company.

Now I booked a ride with a different company and will provide the gold star feedback about that company since the person who answered not only treated me well but He also introduced himself. Explained what they do as company and where they are located.

I was trying to teach my daughter to drive around ogden park, and we were just parked in front of your business getting ready for her first time driving. Two of your drivers were extremely aggressive and rude. All they needed to do was ask us to move in a civil manner... We held them up for maybe a minute. I have lived in James Bay for 15 years, and I think about the hours of my life that have been lost being held up behind your stupid carriages. You are guests in our neighbourhood: act like it.

Had a wonderful tour tonight with Hannah and Duke. Hannah was funny and knowledgeable, and very obviously cared about Duke.
We had the 90 minute tour at 6:30, but I would recommend starting a little earlier as it was a bit too dark during the park part. Still a great end to our day!
For those concerned, the horses are well taken care of, from what I have seen on the ride as well as based on what Hannah said they do on their off time with their herd outside or town.
Highly recommend.
