Absolutely wonderful! I was a little nervous about not receiving a call 1-2 days ahead of our scheduled outing but also understood that he is extremely busy with his fishing charter and isn't able to give a lot of notice.

Cale was flexible with the meeting time in the morning and met us at the dock. The whole day was full of information on the islands, the different vessels in the harbour and what they are used for and the numerous species of birds and fish. Cale taught me and the kids how to deep sea fish and set us up for shark fishing, my husband reeling in the first one. It was a great experience for us learning how a fishing charter/research boat is run. Cale answered every question we had. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient. I highly recommend this fishing charter.

Super awesome experience! Definitely recommend for anyone who loves fishing or just need somthing interesting to do. Cale, the captain, was super friendly and nice. It was an educational experience both with some history of the area and on sharks, fish, even some bird facts! Loved everything, very fun.

Google needs to add bonus stars for those guys.
We were a party of 7 (4 adults, 3 teens) going for a 2 hours of fishing trip, and all of us had an amazing time deep sea fishing.
We were hoping for a few bites to have a great time, but that's not what happened at all. We were catching fish left right and center every couple of minutes. We probably caught at least 60+ fish in the 2 hours fishing.
The captain and is crew were working none stop unhooking and releasing all of our catch, while taking the time to crack some jokes to make everyone laugh and also educate us on some cool facts about fishing, fish species, ocean and history.
Those guys are extremely knowledgeable. The captain used to be a coast guard doing rescue missions. He is now tagging sharks with scientists' expeditions and bringing people for fishing expeditions.
You couldn't find a better capitain for your trip of a lifetime.
The 1st mate graduated from university with so many ocean, fish, and boat knowledge. It's like Google grew some legs and joined the crew.
We just finished our trip but are already talking about booking our next fishing trip with BLUE SHARK CHARTERS.

Unprofessional and Unsettling Experience — Canceled My Trip

I booked a charter with Blue Shark Charters and paid a deposit. Captain Cale promised via email to follow up 1–2 days before our scheduled trip.

When I didn’t hear from him, I reached out the day before — three phone calls, two texts, and an email — all with no response.

Out of concern, I visited the pickup location. Locals on the dock told me the original boat had been sold, that Cale was now using a different vessel, and that he had a history of ghosting clients. I was also warned to be ready to find other plans for the day.

Cale finally called me at 7:00 PM the night before to confirm, but by then, I had lost confidence. The poor communication, inconsistent information, and concerns from others on the dock made me uncomfortable. I decided to cancel the trip the next morning.

Not the experience I expected. I’d recommend doing your homework and having a backup if you’re booking with this charter.

Had a fantastic time out on the ocean with Cale and Dan, who are both incredibly passionate about what they do. It was the perfect mix of fishing and marine wildlife watching—we spotted swordfish, seals, puffins, and even minke whales! We also caught a few nice cod and pollock. Cale and Dan were kind enough to filet and freeze the fish for us, which we really appreciated. Looking forward to coming back in October for the bluefin tuna watching experience!

Group of 5 of us went yesterday - 2 of us are avid fishermen (trout and stripers) 3 are newbies. We all had a fantastic time. Cale and his mate are very knowledgeable, friendly and know what they’re doing! We got 5 Blue’s with the last one giving us the fight of the day! Myself and the other avid fishermen traded off the rod for about 15 minutes before we landed a beautiful 160ish lb 6’4” Blue (approximately)! Incoming storm cut our trip an hour short but we had the best day! Cale knows his stuff, he will get you on sharks, and will teach you about them in the process. World class fishing experience. We are booking again before the year is up to get into Mako territory!! Thanks Captain Cale and Anthony! See you in the fall!!
