The drive is 40 minutes up logging roads, in increasingly worse terrain. It's just slow- going. Most vehicles can make it in mid Summer (some maybe better suited than others).

As for the hike, it's 2.9km from the trailhead and it's a slow steady incline. The terrain changes quite a bit: between dense forest, mountain meadow, to boulder fields. Some of it is a little challenging, but my 5 and 8 year olds managed it all just fine.

It's a little long for young kids, but the payoff was well worth it. The lake is stunning and the views are just breathtaking the entire way.

It should go without saying, but the weather changes quickly- so be prepared!

Eines vorweg wir kamen leider nicht bis zum Bergsee, da wir Ende Oktober den Versuch gestartet haben 😅

Man braucht definitiv ein Allradfahrzeug mit genügend Bodenfreiheit, da die letzten 2km echt anspruchsvoll werden (kann sich natürlich auch im Frühling ändern, den es lag Schnee)

Die Wanderung selber war gut, ich würde sie als moderat einstufen (Schnee).
Der Weg war durch den Schnee nicht immer erkennbar und später, so ca 1km vor dem Bergsee mussten wir durch Schneebedeckten Geröll laufen. Das war der Zeitpunkt zum umkehren, da einige größere Steine auch weggerutscht sind.

An den hängen konnten wir einige kleine Schnee bzw Geröll Lawinen bestaunen.

매우 아름답고 기억에 가장 남는 곳. 사람도 거의 없음.
대신 오프로드용 차량 필요. 초보들이 갈수 있는 마지노선 느낌. 그치만 생각보다 그렇게 힘들진 않음.
돌길을 뚫고 가야되는 점이 좀 힘들었음.

호수까지 대략 1시간 반정도 걸린듯.
사지 멀쩡한 10대-50대라면 강추!

The average car can make it to 2km shy of the trailhead. After that it is your confidence if you are in a lower stance vehicle. My stock forester made it to trailhead.
Easy hike, great swim spot. Trail around the lake is quite narrow in spots.

Pretty easy hike with a nice lake. The mountains are really close and beautiful. Bit of a trek to drive up to the trail head, about 17 km from the paved road but worth the drive. To get there follow the road that goes to kicking horse ski hill. Turn right at the golf course access and then continue on the gravel road for about 17 km. At any turns stay on the most well tracked route.

Challenging hike (in June) because of snow, and the boulder field, but beautiful views at the top.

Plan for 1.5 hours going up and 1 hour back down.

Great spot for snowmobiling! This is not a beginner hill though. Make sure to always check avalanche conditions since there is some big slide areas in there. Check out sledgolden.com for grooming and conditions reports

Beautiful area in an alpine setting. Short hike in once you get to the trailhead. Getting to the trailhead by vehicle - good clearance advised - involves a long gravel road that gets progressively worse as you get closer to the trailhead.
