Deuxieme chambre pas propre car les joints des carreaux de douche noirs et tapis tres sale beaucoup de poussiere partout.
Pour $100.00 la nuit a éviter.

I recently spent 5 nights at The Clansmen Motel with a friend while exploring Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail, and we stayed in one of their cozy cottages. The location was ideal, close to everything, which made it a perfect home base for our adventures.

While the cottage was a bit outdated by modern standards, that actually added to its charm and character. It was very clean, affordable, and most importantly for me, pet-friendly, my dog was welcomed without issue, which made the stay even better.

We also dined at the motel’s on-site restaurant a couple of times. The food was good, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, a great value overall.

My only suggestion would be that the furniture in the living room area could use an update, as it was well worn and not overly comfortable. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

If I return to Cape Breton, I would definitely consider staying at The Clansmen Motel again. It’s a solid choice for travellers looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of rustic charm.

This was a great place to stay. I’d stay here again. Rates were reasonable hotel staff were great. Loved it all. While this won’t deter me from staying here again, the pool fellow on Sunday wasn’t overly friendly. All week I had been sitting in the chairs at the pool early to drink my coffee while my children slept in the room along side it, chatting with the maintenance guy, I think his name was Jackie? (such a friendly guy and enjoyed chatting either way him) but on the Sunday (after being there for 8 days) there was a different guy and I did the same I was doing all week and went to have my coffee by the pool, not swimming, just wanted to sit near where the kids were and the pool guy was quite rude. Said the area was closed, i said i can’t just drink my coffee here? and he said no this area gesturing to the whole area is closed and shook his head at me. I’m an adult and I think it’s quite fine to sit in the chairs and tables provided (not in the pool) to be able to sit out of his way and have a coffee. Nope. He made me leave. Anyway, small gestures go a long way. Like I said , won’t deter me from staying here but I was quite taken aback. I’d come again and really enjoyed the room the staff were so
accommodating and were so so helpful. I wanted to extend my stay and there was no issue. I’ll be back next summer for sure.

This is a gem! Clean rooms, great food, attentive staff and awesome owner. Happy to stay at family run motel who upgrades their accommodations . They added an outdoor pool last year too! Not a big corporate run motel. Happy to support local businesses. Great place to stay and explore the area. Close to ferry. One happy senior couple from Ontario.

This is a perfect little place to stay while in North Sydney. If you like friendly people, a place where pets are welcome and cozy stay then this is a great spot. They have a little trail all around the property to take your dog for a walk, an outdoor pool and the restaurant has good ole home cooked food. Highly recommend!

I used this place back in 2022 when I was moving to Newfoundland. They are pet friendly!! Super cute, little cottages and 2 floors of rooms, mini putt, a bbq hut and such amazing super awesome staff!! I can’t say enough good stuff about this place. This is the place to stop when you want to be close to the ferry
