It was initially created in 1988 by Atlantic Model Engineering Society and later open to the public in 1996.
The ride is free of admission but I would suggest donate at the entrance to support this fun to be continue. My son love it so much and they also offer picnic space. It beat all other charged mini train ride we have ride before! Check the website for opening days and plan your trip with your little train lover.

My 12 year old train nut son loved it here .
Staff is good . Can be a wait time to go on the train rides but worth it . It's all run by volunteers that love what they do . They are only open TheY occasional weekends so you have to see when they are running . Can pay by card or cash . They have picnic tables there so you can bring a picnic and have a lunch there when we were there there was a lady selling some baked goods as well and some water .

This small-size train model is a delightful experience for both kids and adults. Featuring both steam and gas engines, it's not only beautifully crafted and detailed but also entirely free to enjoy. While there's no cost to experience this charming model, donations are welcome to support its maintenance and future enhancements. Whether you're a train enthusiast or just looking for a fun activity, this model is sure to impress. Highly recommended!

This is an amazing place to visit, especially with young kids. Admission is by donation and the rides are free, so the little ones can ride till they drop. The scale model engines are all unique and quite intricate in the case of the steam engine which is actually steam powered. Be sure to check the website as they only open to the public a few days per year.
