This place is a complete dump. I booked it for two nights and drove 6 hours from Saskatchewan. Got in the room and turned around and loaded our luggage and told them there is no way I’m staying at this disgusting pit. The room smelled of stale cigarettes and looked like I took a Time Machine back to 1973. The window wouldn’t latch properly and the mattresses were stained. I was surprised I didn’t see a herd of cockroaches. Ended up getting half my money back and just got a room at the Marriott downtown for not much more money and a much, much better room. I wouldn’t spend $30 a night at this Metro dive. The pictures are deceiving, the rooms look nothing like that. This place should be (and probably is) rented out by the hour if you catch my drift. Unless you’re a sketchy hippy, your better off sleeping in your vehicle. How this place is even able to be in business is remarkable because it’s so unsanitary.

My family of 5 needs to catch an early morning flight, so we booked a room for one night. The location is convenient. The price is very competitive. The building, renovation, and furniture are a bit outdated, while they are in good, working conditions. The towels and bed sheets are white and clean. At this price, you got what you paid.

Usually don't leave a bad review...
And definitely should have read the others before staying here...
But this is a new level of...whoa...

I'm currently curled up with my 3 kids(trying to be positive and get comfortable) in beds with stains and black spots all over them, square couch pillows wrapped up in folded pillow cases trying to pass for queen bed pillows... Went to ask for extra blankets or new sheets and the gentleman at the desk said he can't access housekeeping(it's 10pm) because it's locked and he doesn't have a key...but I can try again tomorrow(...great - but we will be gone..).
There are dead bugs on the floor, holes in the walls, the smells are interesting, no hot water, and everything has a different hotel name on it...(I think it's an old Ramada Inn; the phone still says 'Ramada Inn', but the key card says 'Comfort Inn' and the ice bucket says 'Super 8'...i think they just went to an auction and purchased some random items...). Don't bring anyone here who might have dementia, it would be extremely confusing...ha.

We are just gonna pretend that we are checking out this really well done 'movie set' - dive hotel...and hopefully survive the night lol.
Side note, a film director may be interested in checking this place out for that reason....any other reason though, I'd highly suggest paying the extra 30$ and picking - not the cheapest - hotel on the strip.

I can't really rate it...

Needed place for 8 guests. Very awful and ugly experience. We paid 300+ for one night,
Rooms remind of some granny’s era.
Don’t fall for the pictures of the room. They are super nasty, smelly, sticky floors,
I had 3 month old with me, m still sick of the experience, better to have Airbnb. Area is not so nice either. Rooms smell of smoke. Not recommended at all, even free of cost.

I booked this hotel because it had a fridge. The fridge didn’t work. When I complained the front desk agent responded that nothing could be done as they have no overnight maintenance and instead of being nice and offering a fridge he acted as if he was going to call the police as I was a nuisance. I would never stay here as this place is barely staying above water and it’s clear. You will be charged for being human in the bed as well. You receive that information after signing in.

You truly start to understand the quality of this hotel the moment you check in. The receptionist kindly grabbed an air freshener before handing us the keys — how thoughtful, right? Turns out, it wasn’t hospitality — it was damage control. The room greeted us with a chemical punch to the face strong enough to knock out a skunk.

We thought, “Wow, that receptionist was unusually generous.” Then came the morning surprise. We woke up to a refreshing wave of sewer odor. Apparently, the lingering stench in the bed and linens wasn’t lethal enough, so they upped the game with Eau de Drainpipe.

Pro tip: do not take your shoes off in the room. Unless you want to experience what it’s like to have your socks permanently bonded to a sticky carpet that feels like it hasn’t been cleaned since 1998.

And the best part? We paid almost $180 for this one-night luxury retreat. I honestly can’t believe this place is still legally operating in Calgary. Scratch that — even third-world countries would’ve shut this circus down.

If you still feel adventurous enough to stay here despite the sea of negative reviews
well, I feel for you. But hey — look on the bright side: you won’t forget the night
mostly because you won’t be able to sleep.

STAY AWAY, NOT RECOMMENDED
Poor customer service.
The manager told me I don't have a booking and that the computer shows that I booked with Expedia when I didn't (I booked with Booking.com), they can't give me a refund and was told that I need to contact Expedia but THEN how would they give me a refund if I didn't book through them. Booking.com wasn't very helpful either.
Dirty bed, tables, bathroom, everything is dirty!
The bed was clearly not changed just looking at how the sheets look like someone just slept on them. I asked for new sheets but they said they can't give them to me until next day which is our check out day, it doesn't make sense. The room smell of cigarette smoke too!
