This station, like all LRT stations, are clean and nicely laid out. The ticket vending machines are occasionally not operational, but are mostly very good. They should be kept clean of old tickets and receipts so new tickets don't get lost. The LRT is an efficient and easy way to travel in Kitchener-Waterloo.

1 star for how complicated the machine at the train stations are and the worse location on where you need to tap/scan your card when boarding on the train.

First of all, I am a university graduate and am taking additional education, so in other words, I have the ability to read, but despite that, the machine is so complicated to understand. How will a non-spoken English person understand these machine. I'm telling you, ITS VERY COMPLICATED

Next, to tap/scan your card, you need to go to the very end of the platform. So those who are running to catch the train and enter through the middle of the platform will not be able to get their card scanned.

For those using Ion for the first time, arrive there really early to understand the system, because despite the ride itself being awesome, the system on how to get on board can be very confusing.

Ion stations as a whole, are in quite inconvenient locations unless you are downtown, or traveling down King Street, especially since busses used to come so frequently down this route, that the train doesn't really save too much time..? What is convenient is even if you miss a train, another one is coming so soon, that it isn't nearly as big of a deal as when missing a bus. It is maybe a little too easy to simply get on the train however without paying, and let me express to anyone how bad of an idea this is!! Although you may get away with it from time to time, the security jumps on and off trains randomly, and so frequently that you are almost certain to get caught almost as much as you don't, and the fines are soooo high, that if you consider the money you save not paying really doesn't stack up even remotely to the money you will end up owning in the long run. The trains are very punctual and very easy to board and unboard with whatever luggage you may have with you. On a whole, I believe in time, industry and commercial facilities will grow up around the existing train lines, and will continuely get more beneficial and convenient.

Just wish the doors would open vs pressing a button when train arrives. 10minute intervals is a good space between trains.
