I recently stayed at this hotel for a quick 2-night trip to Thompson for work. I would say that I have very hand standards when it comes hotels. I chose the Super 8 on the recommendation of a friend and based on other reviews, and it did not disappoint. I booked a suite with a kitchenette and king sized bed. My room as well as the common areas of the hotel were spotless and modern - I don't know how old the hotel is but it felt brand new to me. I've stayed at some pretty nasty Super 8's but this one was great!

My only complaint was that there was an excessive amount of light from the hallway shining into my room at night from the bottom and sides of my door. So I would recommend bringing an eye mask if light bothers you at night.

And the free breakfast is also lacking (bagels, cereal, juice, and coffee only), so don't get too excited.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The rooms were spotless, and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job maintaining cleanliness throughout my stay. The hotel itself is modern, with all the amenities you’d expect—comfortable beds, fast Wi-Fi, and well-designed interiors that make the space feel welcoming.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with anything I needed, which made my stay even more enjoyable. From check-in to check-out, everyone was professional and warm.

The only area that could use some improvement is the breakfast. While it was decent, I felt there could be more variety and fresher options. A little more attention to quality and selection would make it even better.

Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, modern, and welcoming place to stay.

I was at my son’s hockey tournament 4 hours away from home, in Thompson, MB. On the last day his team didn’t play until 6:30pm so I asked for a late check-out (just a couple hours, nothing crazy). The front desk worker, a man named Badis, refuses and mentions they have 18 rooms to clean, amongst 3 housekeepers. This was the same worker that refused to let my son use the hot chocolate machine the day prior. On the last day he came to my room 15 mins before checkout time to ask if we were checked out. I was moving bags to the truck so didn’t witness the interaction. But he asked me the same question as I was moving bags to the truck, past the front desk. The general public shouldn’t be subjected to harassment, let alone the disrespect from this employee. Do better.

It was a nice and quiet atmosphere. Staff was always polite and helpful. I like that breakfast was provided but wish that there was a restaurant in the hotel. That would be more convenient but overall I'd stay again.

I was very impressed with the hotel. The staff were all so friendly and made my stay even more comfortable. The housekeeping staff were fantastic, and so helpful. Modern comfortable, spotless rooms. All around a great stay.

I had around 10 hours in-between arrival and departure through Thompson. There is almost nothing to do and with luggage in tow, I wandered around several hotels to see if they could offer a day room until 19:00. Most were full, but Super 8 had vacant rooms and the option of using a room at a reduced price. All sorted at the front desk and my room was spacious, very clean. Sofa, cooking facilities (electric hob, microwave) plus fridge. Good bathroom which I made use of. WiFi worked well and good quality coffee pods and maker. Whilst not a full overnight stay, I am sure the beds were comfortable and the only thing I didn't get a chance to sample was breakfast.

Super 8 don't generally come out well in reviews. Difficult to understand why based on what I experienced in Thompson was just as good compared to others chain hotels.
