My wife and I spent three nights at the Ivy House Inn in Lunenburg, in the beautifully restored Honeymoon Suite. From the moment we arrived, we felt embraced by the perfect balance of history, comfort, and thoughtful design. ||The suite is tastefully modern yet cozy, with an airy, peaceful atmosphere. Every detail—from the plush king-sized bed to the luxurious soaker tub—is designed to soothe and delight. ||Just outside the suite, the “hallway café” offered delightful extras—bottomless tea and coffee, water, homemade treats, artisanal soaps, and even a charming Ivy House Bag. Every detail felt curated to enhance comfort and local connection.||Our host, Tara, was lovely and of warm hospitality and very friendly. Her local recommendations, including a “secret hike” with a panoramic lookout, added a personal, touch that truly elevated our stay. ||For anyone seeking a tranquil, stylish, and heartfelt getaway in Lunenburg, this is an absolute treasure.

Absolutely fabulous stay here at the Ivy House Inn.
Super comfortable and luxurious room with a large king sized bed in the Honeymoon suite.
Clean and modern bathroom with heated bathroom floors and ample towels.
Well stocked hallway cafe with many tea, coffee and cold drink options and complimentary baked goods (yummy chocolate chip cookies!).

I’ll be telling my friends all about this place and will definitely return on future trips! 10/10

This place is great. We had an amazing room/ suite and there is also a shared space where you can get tea/ coffee/ snacks. Everything has been thought through so that the guest experience is wonderful. Can't say more than that. Book well in advance as it is an absolute gem. Lunenburg is also a wonderful place to visit.

What an absolute gem. |A little boutique hotel right in the centre of Lunenberg (location is perfect). |The decor is gorgeous and done to an extremely high spec. |All the little touches make this a beautiful place to stay, from the little tote bag to keep, to the area outside the room with complimentary tea/coffee/soft drinks/sweets/toiletries etc. Can’t recommend it highly enough. This well appointed charming boutique Home-tel is right out of a designers book. Tara and Ivy are outstanding at attention to detail in every corner of the home. Their warm loving touch radiates in everything you see and touch. Our only regret is we aren't staying longer. What a gem in Lunenburg. My husband and I just stayed here for one night during our honeymoon. The only issue is that we didn’t book more nights!! This house oozes calmness and happiness. You can tell the immense joy that went into curating all the details in this house. I couldn’t believe it myself. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and it was absolutely stunning and relaxing. We felt like royalty for a night!
Tara really goes above and beyond for each one of her guests. Even baking fresh chocolate chip cookies for anyone to enjoy. Extra toiletries available for free use, A binder with the history and pictures throughout the renovation process, local recommendations, a branded tote bag to take home, partnering with local businesses in cool ways (artisan locally made soaps and bath bomb, And quite possibly the sweetest detail of all- a personalized thank you card from her daughter- Ivy, who inspired the whole thing.
THANK YOU for having us. I’ll never forget the level of hospitality and we will most definitely be back.
