Me and my friends came around 3:15 to check-in (checkin is after 3). When I came up to her office the owner was sitting outside and said to give her an hour before checking us in as she had just stepped outside for a bit (very strange). She let us into our room to put our stuff down (which she switched our room last minute, told me suit 5 over the phone but we got suit 2 when we showed up. Not a big deal) we had to go back to her 40 min later to actually get checked in and get our door code so we could lock it and get back in, which she seemed annoyed when I came by again. The room itself is visually very nice but it REAKED of cigarette smoke. Even with the windows open all day/night it didn’t go away. The AC also didn’t work and the power was out in one of the rooms/bathroom but unfortunately we didn’t notice until we came back from going out and it was too late to wake anyone up. The sheets and towels smelled clean but the duvets are clearly not washed and there was no toilet paper or hand soap in one of the bathrooms. I should’ve called in the morning to complain but the reviews I read said the owner was confrontational so I got nervous, I only told her about the power being out when she called me for check out information and she extended our check out time due to that issue which was nice but unfortunately not needed. It would’ve been nice for a room discount as my friends went with no power for the night/morning and no AC on a hot weekend. Overall a nice property (minus the dirty backyard area) but smoking in the rooms should not be allowed and a room check should be done the day of to make sure everything is ready for the guests. $379 + tax is way too much for what we got, even for a 2 bedroom. I’m not sure if the other rooms are a lot nicer and that’s why there’s so many good reviews but I would not recommend coming here especially if you have kids as I’m sure the cigarette smell is not good for anyone.

Amazing spot ! It’s right by the beach. I love that there are kitchens with all the units. I also am really liked that it is pet friendly. All the things needed and great internet. It’s my second time staying and can’t wait to come back. It’s walking distance from great restaurants and coffee shops.

What we have seen on pictures and reality are 2 different things. Unfortunately, our apartment wasn't clean, it was full of dust everywhere. I'm allergic to dust.
We had basically to clean our place ourselves.
So, dirt was a big issue.
Communication is another problem, the hostess was sort of on defensive mode. There was nothing basic available: initially no towels, no blankets, really no salt or paper, no paper towels, we were told they don't provide any of those, besides towels. We also were supposed to clean everything in the end. Well, we left the unit cleaner than we got.
Customer service was disaster, I won't recommend this motel. Definitely for a price of hotel you get zero Customer service.
Beach was good , but its minimum 15 min walk. Not what shown on photos.

From first look I was really amazed by what I saw: nice spacious, modern room. But then all the good impression came down to zero, when the owner got confused with our booking for 1 bedroom and tried to convince us to stay in 2 bedroom. The 1 bedroom that we had apparently wasn't ready for us, it was dirty, with no supplies. The owner got irritated by our questions and complaints. Definitely poor customer service. The beach is way far, 15 min walk, not as shown on pictures.
I would only recommend this place if I had to pay twice as less.

If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in Crystal Beach - Nora and George have you covered. Lakeside Suites provides a high-end stay that’s conveniently located steps from the beach and many restaurants. The one bedroom suite my fiancée and I stayed in was incredibly clean, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with upgraded appliances and any utensil you might need to cook or barbecue. The back patio comes with a BBQ and is great for hanging out on. We had an amazing time and will be back soon!

We came to check out the notorious Crystal Beach. Not a lot of places to stay. I found the Lakeside Suites. Nora has been delightful since the beginning. We stayed #3 room and the room is so sweet. Bathroom brand new. King size bed heaven! BBQ, kitchen, separate bedroom. Free WiFi .Directly behind Palmwood Hotel and a very short walk to the quiet beach. I love love his place and location! Thursday nights they have entertainment and food trucks beside the Palmwood in the park. 5 star stay truly!

The rooms are great! You get a fully furnished suite better than at some major hotels. Private deck and bbq to boot. Minutes to the beach and a short drive to the falls. The owners are exceptional, seeing to the needs of the guests. This is one of my favourite places to stay year, after year.

This place definitely has potential but isn’t clean enough to be “luxury.” There was still garbage in the kitchen and we had to clean the BBQ ourselves before using it. Dishes that haven’t been used in a while were dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. There is no recycling in the suite and also no toaster. There could be some updates to the furniture as well. Not worth the price of $189 per night.
