I've been living in suite 2 at Warehouse Hideaway for the past 8 months. This is a great central location in Gibsons which is perfect since I don't have a car. The suite is cozy, comfortable and easy to live in. I love the historic building and the landlords are fair, reasonable, responsive and discreet: ideal really. The place is quiet and I love having a personal patio and such beautiful grounds to enjoy. Fully recommend for a short or longer stay.

If you are wanting to stay close to Lower Gibsons, this place is located perfectly. It was clean and had what was needed. A number of other reviewers noted the traffic on the hill that runs beside the unit... sure, but it was infrequent and really did not bother us.||||I did notice, as did some others, that the walls were thin. You could tell that there was a bed on the other side of the wall where you slept. Did not hear snoring, but did hear other sounds from next door. ||||I found that the unit, while nicely decorated, was not as usable as it could be. As shown in the main photo advertising this place, there is a table with benches in the corner opposite to where it should be, in my view, by the kitchen where, instead, a single bed was located with a small chair and a TV in an awkward space. Not that we watched any tv, but if we wanted to do so, it was not very usable. My suggestion would be to put the table there and get a futon for the other side, that could be made into a bed if necessary. there was no place for two people to comfortably sit inside. ||||The place was "dog friendly" in the sense that dogs are allowed, for an extra fee. However, there was a note provided on arrival with "dog rules" that were more detailed than the conditions on the website and the wording seemed a little harsh. Having spoken with the owner afterwards, I think that it was not intended to be so, but stating that "if any dog hair is found in non designated areas" a further charge would be assessed provided an unpleasant/unwelcoming tone upon arrival. I would suggest that the rules be reworded. I have travelled a lot with my dog and usually pet friendly accommodations are more pet friendly - leaving a dog cookie and perhaps a designated dog towel upon arrival (check out the Four Seasons - famously dog friendly) which makes you feel more welcomed.||||My other comment has to do with the advertisement that the accommodation comes with breakfast... that is not really accurate. It comes with a coupon good for a medium coffee and a muffin or other baked good. The cafe just around the corner (where the coupon was for) was great and the muffins are home baked and very good - but not what I would call "breakfast". You can use the coupon towards a proper breakfast and get $5 off.||||Would I stay here again? After speaking with the owner, maybe, but not likely. The pluses were the cleanliness and the location, if Gibson's Landing is where you want to be and you are taking your dog. But it is on the expensive side for what you get.

I loved the space and the eccentric artist owner with the cute dog. The highway is right beside the bedroom window so the noise level for me was too much. I used earplugs as I am a light sleeper and it did the trick. ||The space is loft living at its best. Very practical and not too much fuss. The unit I stayed in had a double bed in the loft and a single bed beside the kitchen. This was to be your sofa option for relaxing but I didn't watch much tv preferring to read instead for which lounging on the single bed was fine; but more than one adult you will be pushed to chill out together except for the upstairs double bed.||I traveled with my 17 month old son and the space was adequate to keep us comfortable for a night. Nice gardens for my son to roam around in. The units shared walls are not very soundproofed coupled with the traffic and bus noise from road makes for a noisy stay.||The unit is well equipped with a full kitchen except an oven but there is a toaster oven which is sufficient as the location has you within walking distance to restaurants.||This would work well for a couple or one person wanting a bit more edgy funky place to chill out in who is happy to wear ear plugs at night. Bed was comfy. ||

We spent two nights here in early April. There are two bachelor-type apartments to choose from, both with kitchens. We stayed in the one facing the embankment- if I had to choose again, I would likely have chosen the other one at the front in that it appeared to have better lighting. Nevertheless, we were happy with our choice; the place was modern, clean, comfortable and private. The bed was comfortable and the artwork pleasing and original. The location was also ideal in that it was within easy walking distance to the restaurants (I highly recommend Sweetwater Bistro). Breakfast was included (muffin/pastry and coffee), but one had to walk down to the Main Street to get it; however, this was not problematic for us in that we made our own breakfast in the room and had the muffin and coffee to go for a mid-morning snack.

I stayed at this charming B&B with my partner in August, and I have to say it was simply lovely. ||||Mary-Jean and Maddie are excellent hosts, both warm and inviting, but also leaving you to do your own thing. The picturesque gardens are relaxing and inviting and provide a perfect sancurary for the lofts. And the location is a short stroll to the main street of cafe's and Resturants.||||The lofts are self contained and well appointed and a perfect alternative to the hotel/motel rooms available. Thoroughly enjoyable and would not hesitate to stay again.

We stayed at the Warehouse Hideaway during our summer holidays this past July. The suites are a stone's throw from town so a wonderful location for exploring Gibsons on foot. The suites are great for a couple -- a fair bit of privacy, lots of space for two with separate levels (in an open concept) for bedroom and dining room and a full kitchen! ||||We visited with a toddler, and although we liked many things about the suite, we wouldn't recommend staying here with a young child. We managed to make the space work with our own playpen for a crib, but it was pretty tricky (not enough room in the bedroom, not possible in the dining room, so we squeezed the playpen at the foot of our bed...not an idea setup) and there are too many open stairs for a little one that crawls or is just beginning to walk. We also found the actual location to be quite loud as the street just outside your window is actually the main highway from Gibsons to Sechelt and beyond. The Warehouse Hideaway is located half way up the hill so trucks coming up the road (including late in the evening/early morning) are extremely loud. The property was so lovely, with fabulous gardens to enjoy a drink or a meal, but it was a challenge to enjoy with all the noise. If noise isn't an issue for you, there is plenty to enjoy here!

If you are not driving, the location of this place is perfect for you. There is a bus stop just around the corner. You can take bus 90 or 1 in Ferries terminal and get off in seaview Rd. It takes 5~10 minutes to go to waterfront by walking. ||||The cottage is clean indeed and two-story unit looks interesting. However, the place is smaller than it looks like on the website. The washroom is very tiny so you have very limited space to turn around. It is hidden in trees so you don't really have views and sometimes it is hard to tell the weather condition. Sound proof is bad. We can hear guests in the next room laughing and talking (and even walking). I'm personally not a fan of the bed mattresses. It's not firm enough and it's easily tilted toward one side. And the wifi doesn't work very well. ||||Overall, it is nice to spend a couple of days in the cottage and the location is very good. But consider the price and the quality of the room, it is overpriced.
