This was our second year hiring Aaron as our ski guide for touring Rogers Pass and the side country around Kicking Horse and he'll continue to be our #1 choice in years to come. The investment in a ski guide is a no-brainer and pays for itself quickly; it's a combination of maximum fun (best pow stashes without question) and safety while eliminating wasted time from deliberation. We went into this trip with low expectations given the record low snow pack, but Aaron managed to take us to the right place at the right time every day to find untracked, preserved powder and absolutely stunning views. He knew our limits better than we did and pushed us to ski steeper terrain and couloirs successfully! He's also a man of many talents and makes incredible art in his free time. Highly recommend hiring him for your next trip to the Selkirks/Purcells/Rockies.

Aaron is an amazing guide with unparalleled experience in the Kicking Horse and Rogers Pass zones. I have been skiing with him annually for the last 10 years and have had many of the best runs of my life with him guiding. He is in the KHMR backcountry or rogers pass almost daily, and as a result has an amazing amount of experience and local knowledge to make it a safe trip in any avalanche conditions. We hired Aaron for 2 days of guided skiing around Rogers Pass and Kicking Horse in order to get our legs under us before a hut trip and to check out an area we knew nothing about.
We could not have been happier with the result - Aaron did a great job of accessing our group and being flexible with our objectives. He took the time to review basic avalanche skills while we toured and we came away smarter on a number of levels. He did a great job of pacing our group to match our fitness.
We would definitely recommend Aaron to anyone interested in a guided ski tour in the area and will definitely consider a reengagement when back in the area.

Aaron guided us on a 5 day Golden Alpine Holiday trip that was so fun we stayed for 7 days.

When our flight was cancelled due to weather, Aaron enthusiastically took us out for another tour. He then stood outside, freezing, while giving us an unofficial AST 2 course.
