Doug and Doreen are amazing hosts and have aptly named their stay for guests. Whether you stay Oceanside or Island View you have access to the beach and hot tub. Your stay is great for families or couples and the view you get is breathtaking. The kitchenette has everything you need to stay in and cook. They also have BBQ grills on site too. Whether you relax and lounge in private space or if you walk along the rocky beach to explore, you will realize that this place is indeed Absolute Heaven.

The name definitely says it all! The unit itself was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and made us feel like home. The extra special touches like the welcome snacks and wine were amazing and the fluffy spa robes were used daily(seriously every morning and evening). The hot tub was excellent and the beach was fantastic! We swam in the ocean every day(bring water shoes) and they made it easy entry by carving out a path. Swimming with the seals nearby was a treat! There’s lots to do in the area, hiking, water sports and sightseeing! Great restaurants, liquor and grocery stores are very close to the unit. Very relaxing trip and spent a lot of time just looking at the view. We even saw a couple of orcas. Bucket list check! Doug and Doreen gave us total privacy. We actually would’ve liked to have sat down and had a drink with them, super nice and interesting people! I was reluctant to write this review only because I don’t want our little secret about how great this place is to get out! Highly recommend it!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday in early August 2020. We really LOVED it here and definitely will come back again. We found it so relaxing, quiet and very private. The view is spectacular as is the very private beach. This was the perfect getaway for us. Location-wise there is lots to do from walking the beach, to hiking trails or site-seeing and shopping in nearby Sechelt. We found our suite to very clean, tidy and so very cute. Very beachy! We had an ocean view from the living room, kitchen and private patio. The owners, a lovely couple, are very nice and friendly too!

My daughter and I spent a wonderful 2 days there. First day stormy so got some great pic's of that, second day sunny and great for our hikes. Our private little house was warm and inviting with everything you could possibly need. Doreen and her husband were warm, inviting and helpful. Thank-you so much!

What a great spot! Loved the location. Right off the main highway, close to town. The guest house is only a minute walk to a rocky beach. The hot tub was warm and comfy. Never got to use the fire pit as it rained but next time! My only complaint was very weak wifi. I have paid similar price for a place that had more updated appliances & equipment as we cooked all our meals there. A quick shop could fix that & a wifi booster would make the place amazing!

Went for a weekend trip with 2 of my friends. We had one day of sunshine and 2 days of overcast and it was still a great trip. The hot tub makes it all worthwhile, the housecoats and slippers provided made us feel like housewives on vacation, and the location to beach access was phenomenal. Bring your water toys as there is an immediate access into the ocean. Will book again!

A beautiful well-maintained property with lovely hosts. We stayed in the Island Cottage for a week, and loved the views from the balcony. The suite itself is comfortable and well-equipped. Everything we needed right there. Proximity to the highway seems to be the norm for a lot of these properties, so expect traffic noise. I travel with ear plugs, so not a big issue. We were there during an unusually hot week, so the fan provided was appreciated. Even with the heat though, we managed to cool the place off decently by just opening the windows and running a great crossbreeze. The beach, like the majority of the coast, is rocky, but Doug & Doreen keep a well maintained channel clear so you can walk out easily. Water shoes are a must. Hubby swam every day. I enjoy the Mexican beach feel of the palapa and chairs down on the sand. Queen size bed is comfy. I, personally, would have knocked two feet off the bathroom and put in a king size - because I'm spoiled and like the extra room, but honestly, it was trivial! Garbage is emptied every day for you. Small suggestion - put a list of what is allowed in recycling in the yellow book, and a separate bin for that. I felt guilty for throwing some stuff out that I know could have been recycled at home. Thanks for a great stay. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

I really like this place. We were here six years ago too and fall in love with this small place by the sea. Our visit now was also really nice. ||A perfect place to relax for a day or two. ||The host is very service minded and friendly. ||There is a hot tub and a big barbecue included in the price. ||It there is anything negative to say - I think the beds could need a change now and so could some of the appliances in the kitchen - they are getting old.
