Well, the staff are friendly.

That is the only perk at this archaic, listless, outdated airport.
There is a small concession.
If you forgot your mascara, you are hooped.
It is a shame more thought and care for their guests' customer experience has eroded to virtually nothing but a fresh coffee.
Lots of room for improvement in this day and age. I dont even think theres a speaker system.

Get a better parking system. Drove 2 hours to pick someone up to find that all the parking available is pay only at midnight.. . But it has to be done via an app you need to download and once you put all your vehicles information in, and your card information.. it tells you it only accepts credit. I don't have a credit card .. and really needed to use a bathroom before the 2 hour journey back home. Security patrolling the lot.

Had to hold it home. Not great. Thanks ..

Good airport for general aviators. Loads of parking, not sure about tiedowns. Controllers are quite helpful if you are unfamiliar with the area. Rental cars are available in the terminal. For about what you would pay for taxi rides around town.

Kamloops airport is clean and spacious and provides a beautiful mountain vista view! The prop plane from Vancouver is small and noisy, but the scenery cannot be beat. The airport itself is small, and the washrooms are clean. The waiting room is stocked with vending machines and knowledgeable staff, during business hours. We arrived in Kamloops at 930pm on a Saturday night, to an empty, unstaffed airport and no transportation to our hotel. One city cab was waiting and it was quickly taken. A party from Australia (six in all) were also wondering how to access the city itself. We used the URide app, but found out that it is difficult to access a ride at that hour due to the distance from the airport to the city (about 15 minutes by car). We were lucky in acquiring a driver. Apparently a phone is inside the airport for calling the Kamloops cab company. Leaving Kamloops a week later, we experienced Security and discovered a thorough, detailed and well organized system, that was also relaxed and friendly - a revelation. Usually security at airports is a tense experience, where a smile is nowhere to be found. Accessing planes at Kamloops airport is done via the exiting staircase, situated directly into and out from the plane door. A small airport was a novel experience with both positive and negative aspects. Kamloops is known for its hosting of sports tournaments, so we expected a manned airport on a weekend evening.

This is a small but effective airport with great scenery around it. Took a flight in from Vancouver, short walk from the plane to the inside of the terminal. There are two baggage carousels, though I hardly see why they need more than one. This gets the job done and welcomes you well to Kamloops.

Why is there no female hygiene products available? Not in the bathrooms, not a store, not even the airline would provide anything. Two stars because the screening was fast and it's nice not walking far for anything..but no supplies unless it's over priced food.
