I rented a car beginning of Dec. 2024. There was a long wait when we picked up the car in the evening. I got a different car from what I reserved but it was an upgrade. The car was new and clean but the gas was empty. I didn’t notice it till we got to our accommodation late at night. The guy that received the car upon return was friendly and provided great service. He gave me a gas refund and ensured satisfaction from us before we left.

The vehicle I got was lovely and the personnel I met were great. They answered all my questions and explained the rental process very well with a kind and helpful attitude. I had choice of many vehicles that met my needs. The rental worker was knowledgeable about the features of each vehicle and helped me pick one for my travel needs. The after hours return drop off is well marked and easy to navigate when coming into the airport. The vehicle I got (which I am considering buying as my next vehicle because it drove so nicely even in the icy conditions) and the staff made this an exceptional experience! I didn’t get any hidden fees when I got my final bill either. The fees were well explained. If you are renting from an airport they do have a concession fee. They did explain this before I signed and took the vehicle, but it wasn’t well known when booking online.
If booking the rental through an airline, I recommend getting the insurance upon arriving through the rental company directly. It is less hassle to deal directly with them rather than a third party if anything were to happen and they have better, more comprehensive coverage.

Alamo is amazing. Great vehicles at phenomenal prices compared to the other rental companies out there. The employees are efficient at the counter, and the convenience of picking up the vehicle from the airport is fantastic. The employees are happy and will answer any questions you may have with ease. Drop off is always a breeze and stress free. My husband and I love Alamo. We highly recommend you try them the next time you need a rental vehicle. You won't be disappointed.

I've had to rent a lot of cars lately from different companies, so my expectations were pretty low. This Alamo location restored my faith with their lovely staff who went out of their way to explain the process to me and give me directions to departures upon return. I didn't have to wait in line for even a minute both times. The vehicle I originally booked wasn't available but I ended up with a far better one, which was a joy to drive.

Fantastic Experience with Alamo Airport Location in Edmonton

During a recent holiday, my car broke down, and with no other rental companies open in Edmonton, I booked Alamo through AMA. Initially, I was hesitant after reading some reviews, but I trusted my instincts and went to pick up the car. I'm so glad I did!

The entire process was seamless, thanks to Krista M., who made everything easy. She was incredibly friendly and efficient. This was my first time renting from Alamo, and I couldn't be happier. There were so many vehicles to choose from, and Krista ensured I selected one that I would be comfortable in.

I had the car for nearly two weeks without any issues. Returning the vehicle was just as easy; the entire process took only five minutes. They conducted a quick walkthrough with me, and everything was good to go. I even received two car seats, which was a nice bonus!

I booked my rental car through Expedia, which turned out to be with Alamo Car Rental. I have to say, the rental experience with Alamo was one of the best I’ve ever had! I got an amazing deal on a luxury SUV and thoroughly enjoyed driving it. However, there was one issue—the tires. In a place like Edmonton, Canada, I strongly believe it should be mandatory for rental cars to be equipped with winter tires during the winter season. The all-weather tires provided did not perform well in snowy and slippery conditions, making driving less safe and comfortable. Alamo offered excellent service overall, but I hope they—and other rental companies—consider this adjustment to ensure safer driving experiences in winter climates.

Effortless rental. Great friendly staff that answered all my questions. Got my car right away and it was exactly as described. Appreciate that Alamo opens late at Edmonton Airport. My flight was delayed and did not land until close to 1100.
