We called from the road, a snow storm coming in we needed to get somewhere safe and fast with our dogs in tow. The sweet man that answered the call, reserved our room for us even though they were closing before we would arrive! He turned on our room heater to have it waiting and warm. We were beyond thankful! The room was very clean, and tidy. Absolutely loved it! Fresh coffee and muffins for breakfast as well. 10/10.

I had booked a room across town but did not realise they wouldn’t allow my blind dog to stay in the room even with a pet fee or a pet deposit, and I was a bit desperate for shelter with a snowstorm quickly approaching. I feel very lucky to have found the Algoma hotel!

Genuinely kind customer service from senior citizen Skip. The room is clean, quiet, and neat as a pin. Excellent value and a very reasonable pet charge. Looking forward to staying here on my way back as well. ❤️

Great service right off the bat, I didn't get the older gentleman's name but my wife an I stopped in last minute just before he closed he provided us with our room, he had put the heat on an left row key in a safe place for us when we arrived,

I would definitely be stopping by again for my next road trip

The room I was in was well kept and maintained. Very nice tub and toilet area. There's a separate place for the sink, microwave, and fridge. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The only thing I would add: would have more to do with inconsiderate guests in the next room since sound travels. Other than that, I stayed there on the way out and on the way back.

I erroneously made two online bookings through booking.com. I informed the front desk about the error immediately after we arrived. In spite of that, I was still charged for the booking I had cancelled. Talked to the hotel manager and asked him if he could reverse the charge, but he refused, saying that the charge was to cover for the reservation of the room, and added that booking.com was going to charge him for the reservation too. Talked to booking.com and was told they don't charge the hotel for cancelled bookings, and that it was up to the hotel management to waive/reverse the fees. Algoma could have waived or reversed the charges, but it refused to do so, despite my efforts and pleas for reconsideration. The matter has not yet been resolved to date. It's so sad and unfortunate to be caught in the middle of a quandary like this. In the end, I had to pay for a room I didn't use, all because of a technicality I wasn't told, or wasn't aware of. And both Algoma and booking.com benefited from it. Lesson: No use trying to book a reservation online through your mobile phone; the telecom signal at Wawa is choppy at best. Instead, book your reservation directly with the front desk so you won't have any issues later on. And yes, there are other hotels/motels in Wawa too.

Super cute motel, very clean and tidy. We loved our cozy evening. Good parking and close to everything one might need for the night.

This motel is great, from the friendly staff (Skip and Jeff and cleaner were very pleasant). Fresh and excellent muffins and coffee. The room is a bit spartan but everything was clean. We were offered rags to clean our motorcycles. Beds were a little on the soft side though.
