I love coming into Ascendant Books. I instantly feel good vibes every time I enter. They have a great collection of things (although sometimes a bit on the pricier end of things). Their rocks and gems room in the back is so cool, there are lots of books and journals to choose from as well as lots of candles, incense and other spiritual items.

Great great great place to buy a new deck. The best part is the wide variety of sample decks to look through so you have a fabulous way to connect with your deck before you purchase it. Always a pleasure and a great selection of everything metaphysical.

What on earth did you do to your webpage? It's atrocious. Don't underestimate the importance of keeping your webpage up to date including inventory. I like to browse business sites before I make the trip into downtown to view selections. Your webpage gives me nothing to go with. Disappointing..

I had been to Ascendant Books years ago when I bought my first set of Tarot cards and since I was looking for a new set plus a few other items and as from a previous review I could not find what I was looking for at another store I knew I would find what I needed here. I had actually called a couple of days earlier to ask if they had any Tarot Journals in stock and thankfully they had two different kinds in stock. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and described both books in detail to me and I asked if I was able to put one on hold for a couple of days as they only had 1 of each in stock. Thankfully she said yes, so once we arrived on Saturday my sister needed some items for our house and home and the one sales lady was very helpful and knowledgeable with all of the questions my sister had. My friend and I both found everything we were looking for and I actually found way more than I should have lol. Then on the way out I actually found more items that I WILL be back for next month lol!!! The store is very well organized, stocked, clean and the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful… I highly recommend 👍👍👍

Ascendant Books on 124 Street in Edmonton is the go-to source for all of our "woo" needs. Smudges, crystals, books, sound bowls and more in this large 5000 foot space.

The materials are very well organized. The help is great. They're a little stern and strict about anyone coming in with their java from next door. Lol

Otherwise, we often make a trip here at least once a month.

I love the staff and they generally know thier product well very down to earth and excellent 👏 communication. They definitely have really cool crystal stock and they seem to always have an influx of really cool stock coming in lol you feel bad because what want may not be thier next time you arrive if its popular. The rest of the store is cool lots if interesting books and other stuff for spirituality metaphysics etc check them out ill be going back great place to grab birthday and Christmas gifts for a person and the crystal jewelry is dope as well

The ladies that work there, in particular The manager, are amazing. I ended up buying some thing today that I couldn’t actually take & they were so understanding about it. they were kind, patient and very very generous. This place has been absolute magic in Edmonton for so many years but the energy of the people that work there are as beautiful as the merchandise inside. If you haven’t been here before you must go! if you haven’t been in a while go see how wonderful it still is.
