Went here while doing work in the area. Barney's was a really nice place to stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The bed was more comfortable than a lot of hotels I have stayed at. My cabin had power with fridge, stove, toaster, and microwave. There were towels and face cloths available for my use in the kitchen and bedrooms. There was a wood stove for the colder months as well as a gas BBQ on the deck. Shannon and Skip were friendly and great to deal with.

If I was travelling in this region again I would certainly stay here again

Stayed 2 nights while working in the area. Cabin was well-built, clean, and had everything you need. Linens and beds were very comfortable and new. Little touches like clean towels, kleenex boxes, hand soap etc elevated the cabin experience. Loved the little barbecue on the deck. Dishes in our kitchen were good quality and matching ... not that I need matching dishes to enjoy myself but it's just an example of the nice touches that made us feel we were 'guests' , not 'campers'. Shannon was very accommodating, helping us plan drop-off of some building supplies and presenting us with options on where to park our trailer etc. Wifi is good, but doesn't reach all cabins/campsites. Hey, sometimes a "soft unplug" is just what the dr. ordered.

I only stayed one night, but was very happy with my room, and the location on Puntzi Lake is stellar. (Extra points for the loons on the lake!) Our hosts were warm, friendly and helpful, and I felt very well cared for. I would cheerfully spend more time here on a future visit!

Our family camping trip to Barney's Lakeside Resort was the highlight of our summer! Pristine clean campsites, comfortable warm shower/toilet rooms, convenient fish cleaning station, spectacular views, PELICANS and super friendly hosts make this a permanent destination spot for our family! 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We camped with our travel trailer at Barney's and had a wonderful experience. The gazebo at the lake was such a beautiful place to gather, the grounds are well kept, the shower/bathroom was clean and the manager was great! We would definitely recommend this resort.

Barney’s Lake Resort is a superb hideaway for anyone craving a clean, lakeside retreat with a home-like feel and supportive hosts. It's ideal for families, anglers, nature lovers, and groups—especially those looking to disconnect and unwind. We had a fantastic time over there.

After planning an 8 day fishing trip for many months and looking at as many reviews as possible, we decided to give it a chance, after a 2 day trip just to get there we were shocked to see the resort was nothing like the website showed, the campsites we seed infested , after getting out trailer levelled and set up we went to add the on site water only to find not only did it not work but was hadn’t worked in a long time. It was covered with spider webs
Expecting to have at least WIFI as the website said the WIFI would not reach our campsite. We had to park next to the office. There was no mention of this on the website and there was no cell service for miles. We had been driving for six hours by then and just called it a day, we left next day and found a great campground 4 hour back from where we came
The website does not show the real condition of the campground. It been left to poor up keep and disarray. Not a good experience. Look elsewhere
