This is a place to stay. It's not fancy. The room I booked was very small, and the bed was well worn in. This is a great place to sleep and shower. Advertised as a kitchenett, which i tried to make use of. Saw some other rooms that were much nicer. The room I was in needs a good cleaning ( windows, walls). The owner was very good to deal with and was very accommodating and honest. The rates are decent.

The staff are great- very personable and try their best to accommodate you with what they have to work with - unfortunately the rooms are not so good. We had to change rooms due to issues with maintenance… some rooms are much better than others. Time to spend some money for basic upgrades.

We were travelling in the area and needed to stop so we pulled into the Battle River Inn & Suite. They were friendly and glad to have our business. We stayed in the King suite and were not disappointed. Rooms have been renovated; they are clean the beds are comfortable. Never judge a book by the cover they have done a nice job with this place and I would recommend. Closely located to the golf course. We did not realize that breakfast was included so we cannot comment.

UNDER BRAND NEW MANAGEMENT as of Jan 2023: the manager was incredibly helpful, friendly and authentically cared about my stay. Yes it’s an older hotel however my room was so clean, very comfortable mattress, new coffee maker, large flatscreen tv, and the heater was amazing on a very cold night. Great super quiet location - will return!

I had reservations for a month but showed up a day early and they were able to accomodate me. Unfortunately there's no one at the front desk so I had to wait around for a couple of hours until someone came to sign me in.

The room smelled clean and looked clean upon first glance, until my brother in law pulled back the sheets and counted 13 black hairs. Fortunately I had my sleeping bag for my bed but he was forced to sleep in his clothes for 4 days.

The toilet hose was leaking when we returned later that day resulting in the floor being warped and the baseboards swollen and coming off the wall. There was another bucket under the bathroom sink to catch water from another leak, resulting in the floor having stains running out from under the counter.

In 4 days, the room was never cleaned, beds made, garbages emptied or empties taken out. This resulted in garbage and recycling piled up in the kitchen making it hard to use. There was no shampoo and when we asked for more dish soap none was provided. By the end of the 4 days we even had to go buy toilet paper.

I would have checked out after the first night but they force you to pay up front, for that very reason I assume. My father and uncle had a different room and experience all together but they were only there for 2 days and most of the time was spent in our room so I can only comment on my experience. I believe the owner has good intentions but is challenged with finding good staff to take care of the place.

I had a 5 star experience in a 3 star room. Good value but pretty dingy 3 bedroom suite. Staff was extremely accommodating. Helped me move a second fridge into one of the rooms at no extra charge. We checked out after having lost a key, when we checked back in, all the things we had forgotten were still in the room. $10 charge for a lost key.

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in my entire life!! Paid for 21 days up front. But only stayed 12 and wasn’t credited back for the 9 days I didn’t stay. Never once cleaned my room. Heat wasn’t working for a coupon nights and they didn’t have an extra blanket to give me. On top of that the manager called me said he could put me in a room with heat for an extra $200. 2 days later the put an electric heater in my room, first night there the guy who runs the place walked right into my room without knocking while i sleeping. When I asked what he was doing he just stared at me , went into the bathroom took my dirty towels Ans didn’t replace them , i was in town for work Ans other guys who were staying theee had the same issue, the sad part is. It’s not a bad looking room. It’s the owners who are terrible

Older style but Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Smart tv in most of the rooms.
Tiny bathroom for a queen room but it's okay if you stay just 1-2 night.
Lots of free parking.
Convenient location, just off the highway. Few minutes walk from downtown and local grocery store.
