Nous en avons demandé un autre mais la réceptioniste ne savait pas où ils étaient. Il y avait également un seul verre pour boire, ce qui n'est pas pratique pour deux personnes. L'éclairage étaitt nettement déficient : une lampe sur l'unique table de nuit et une lampe sur pied dans le coin mais pas de fauteuil pour s'asseoir. Aucun éclairage au plafond. Aucun miroir dans la chambre. Les choses qui étaient dans la chambre étaient bien mais c'est tout ce qui manquait qui causait problème. Pour ajouter à tout cela, le déjeuner continental était compris lorsque nous avons fait notre réservation mais lorsque nous sommes arrivés pour le déjeuner, la réceptioniste nous a dit que l'hôtel ne servait plus le déjeuner depuis la semaine dernière. L'accueil était très bien à l'arrivée mais le départ a été moins réussi.

We stayed at the Bay Roberts Hotel after being evacuated due to the Kingston wildfire, and I can't say enough good things about our experience. In such a stressful and uncertain time, the staff here went above and beyond to make us feel safe, welcome, and cared for.

The front desk team was incredibly kind and understanding from the moment we arrived — you could tell they genuinely cared about our situation. They made check-in fast and easy, and even helped us find some local resources we hadn’t thought of. It truly made all the difference.

Housekeeping was equally wonderful — friendly, respectful, and always made sure our room was clean and comfortable. You could tell they took pride in their work, and it showed in all the little details.

The hotel also has a beautiful dining and outdoor area — honestly, it’s a perfect spot for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, or even small, intimate weddings. The setting is peaceful and well-maintained, and you can tell a lot of care goes into keeping it that way.

The Bay Roberts Hotel became a real home away from home during a difficult time. We’re so grateful for the kindness and hospitality we experienced. Thank you to everyone there — we won't forget it!

What a wonderful stay! Beautiful hotel! The rooms were sparkling clean. The hotel is under new management. So, the restaurant part is only open for private celebrations. But we still were allowed to use patio and bar to buy drinks. They also have VLT area there. It’s so beautiful there!

We were traveling as part of a sports team with multiple bookings. After 2 days of driving, we were informed we didn’t have a reservation and was blamed for not following up when we didn’t receive a confirmation email (there were several parents who also did NOT receive confirmation - as well as others whose booking was not as agreed upon (single beds when double beds were booked). There was no help offered.. the front desk agent (who I later learned was the owner - which he did not identify when I asked to escalate my booking issue) wouldn’t even help indicate how close Airbnb bookings were, and only told me I’d be paying several hundred dollars to stay in St. John’s (due to fires and the Canada games). Eventually I was offered a single bed room (with a roll away bed) for an increased rate than the rest of the team - which I gratefully took due to not being able to acquire other accommodations. An hour passed and he came into my room (the door was unlocked) to tell me he had secured the rest of the weekend accommodations. The next day I was told there were no rooms. Other issues included multiple guests (4 that I know of), being given keys to other guests rooms, pictures taken of credit cards, cheques and booking information on a table separate than the front desk and accessible by all guests, and a completely unwillingness to admit that there were issues with the booking. For clarification, I confirmed with my cell provider that I had a 7 minute call with the hotels main line 2 days after our coordinator told us about the room blocks.

Carpet wasn't put down on the side entrance and I literally fell out of the hotel as my foot caught up in the carpet. Other than that the room was nice but the sheets had coffee stains on it, toilet was sanitized. Not even sure if they have a kitchen as no breakfast was offered.

We flew home for a big family function in the area. The hotel looked very nice upon arrival. It was later in the night when we arrived and we had to wait around for a bit in order to check in, as no staff was at the desk. Not a good start as we had travelled since 4am that morning.||Our room was nice, but there was hair in the bathroom when we arrived. Beds were comfortable, pillows not so much. No couch or chairs to watch TV. Had to sit on the bed.||They have a bar and a room with slot machines in the foyer, but no food available as the restaurant is not currently operating. We had to drive into town and eat at McDonalds for dinner. The next morning they offered cold/hot cereal or you could make toast. We expected to be able to eat here, as they are still advertising that they have a restaurant. We had to go into town again and eat at another restaurant.||Both nights we were there, the noise from the bar/slot area and traffic in the hallway was very loud. Our room was very near the reception desk. When we went out to speak to someone about this, there was no staff present that we could find. We used tissue in our ears to quiet the noise.||The area is beautiful but we will not be staying at this hotel again. For 2 rooms for 2 nights it cost us almost $700.00. Way too much for just a basic room and no amenities, not even food. We were shocked at the price as we had not asked the rate when we booked.||As we have stayed in beautiful suites for less per night, we do not understand the rates here being so high. It was sour icing on a mediocre cake.

Really nice people at front nice. They provided useful information about restaurants. Room was clean and beds confortable. The small fridge was working well. In a quiet area, near a walking path. We would definitely return. Good quality/price.
