Wonderful hidden gem in Cloverdale!
I had no idea that we had it and that it was so good!
I was so impressed with the quality of their collection (trucks, engines, scale models, license plates, and so much more!) and the effort all the seniors put to keep it going, that I decided to volunteer and let me tell you I'm not sorry!
I immediately felt appreciated and so happy as everybody knows and talks about cars and engines and stuff!

I was so shocked to learn of the struggles they face to secure a place... I cannot believe they haven't been deemed as a B.C. cultural treasure, since they hold part of the history of B.C!
I really wish I would own a place large enough to hold that magnificent collection... I would give it to them!

The place is by donation and they accept cash, debit and credit.
Everybody gets a personal guide to tour! Washrooms are clean and they have a scavenger hunt for the little ones.
Don't miss it and bring friends and guests along! It will make you proud, as it did me!

This has to be the best museum in the Lower Mainland.

Theres no gift shop (more like a few gift shelves, which aren't that obvious), its free entry (with a donation box, which I recommend donating for reasons I will discuss later), the staff are incredibly friendly and all volunteers (and super knowledgable!!!). Its really easy to find someone to ask a question, and if you ask, they'll allow you to open doors and look around the interiors of the trucks.

There is (Or was in a month from now) a Pacific P9 SUDD-A outside the museum. Its going to be gone in a month as a man has bought it to restore (the frame is cracked in 2 places, too much for the museum to restore considering they are restoring a 1-of-a-kind truck as of writing), and one of the staff gave me full permission to poke around. It was so much fun inspecting that truck. I'm a massive PT&T nerd, so that experience instantly made my entire year (unless I see another Pacific).

One of the staff (Nole, Noll, Knoll? He said his name but I don't know how to spell it) gave us a really personal tour of his favourite trucks there. Theres a Canadian--built 1946 chevrolet with only 77.7 miles on it! Apparently the truck was among 5 trucks bought by the original owner, but parts coming from the US were talking an awful long time to get there, so he set that truck aside and used it as a parts truck. It ended up getting restored later on and delivered to the museum. Every part on that truck is original!!!

Theres a truck from WW1 there which has an entirely wooden cab, theres a bunch of cool truck-related posters there and some REALLY cool wood truck models.

The museum is also restoring a 1934 Dodge K52 tanker. According to the museum, theres 4 others that exist; One in the official Dodge museum, one in the official Ford museum, another one in BC thats in a horrid shape, the fourth I forgot about, and then the one they are restoring, which is the best condition one out of all 5. They don't have prints for the tanker, so they took a photo of the truck when it was in service and measured the dimensions, and are custom-fabricating parts out of those pictures to restore it. They do their work right infront of you in their workshop (which is public access since theres other trucks in there).

Really good museum. Please donate. I'm definitely coming back, its a priceless experience. 20/10.
