This was the worse motel experience we ever had!!! We feel compelled to inform others of what happened. The reviews with only 1 star are the real reviews the other reviews with 3 and 4 stars may be fake. We stayed for 2 nights and August paying over $550. It was a total ripoff! The room is very outdated and dirty. We can hear a lot of noise coming from the room above - every step! The head of the bed shared an adjoining wall with the laundry room and washing machines were going until past midnight. The towels were black when we wipe the dark coloured laminate flooring. The oven was sprayed with oven cleaner but the oven cleaner was never wiped off! The microwave door cannot be opened without lifting the microwave up as the fridge is blocking it. The sofa bed was sooo old and dirty. We had to buy a new set of bedding to cover it up entirely. The sofa bed sheet was very wrinkly making us to conclude it may have not been changed. The sofa bed creaked every time my son moved. The dinner table was dirty with grim when we wipe it. There is only limited not assigned parking. We complained to the hostess and got a 15% discount . The hostess informed us she would emailed the owners to see if we could more discount. She said she would get back to us on the following week which she never did. We followed up two weeks later and talked to Jody and she told us she would get back back to us but never did. We called again a week later and we spoke to Jody and was informed the owners do not want to give any further discount.

I stayed here with friends in August 2025 and I have to say the only thing this place has going for it is the location. The furniture is dated (70-80's) which is ok but if you have old furnishings PLEASE be sure you add value by offering CLEAN rooms. Our room was probably the dirtiest room I have come across. We could not sleep, let alone sit on the pull out couch as it was filthy and did not look like it had ever been clean and absolutely stunk of urine. In the corner of the room (close to the floor and not ceiling) there was a big nest of spider webs that looked like it had been there for years (so many dead bugs in the webs), there were dozens of dead bugs on the baseboard heaters and the windowsills. There were dead bugs along the carpeting against the wall. The floors were not vacuumed or washed (it was obvious). The dishes in the cupboard were obviously not checked before we arrived because most of them were in the cupboards dirty. The bathtub was filthy and dead bugs stuck to the walls of the shower. When we went to the front desk to speak to the manager about another issue the front desk clerk lied an said the manager was away until the next day. Another staff member walked in during our conversation and said that was untrue and the manager was there (which we ended up speaking to regarding the other matter). Also, please note there are dogs allowed here which is great, however, owners are not required to keep dogs on a leash (or at least it wasn't enforced) there were a number of large dogs in the courtyard running around without the owners even present (they were in their room). So, watch your step because owners or staff don't clean up after the dogs either.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay. The check-in (and out) process was easy and with one of the nicest people I’ve met (thanks for calling and checking on me because I was running late, Amanda!). The rooms were clean and stocked. There’s a lovely large seating and outdoor meal area in the centre with big BBQ’s there for guests. Lots of people were there enjoying after the heat cooled down. The best part of all is the extras they have for guests, like a water cooler, an air compressor for floaties, and an ice cream shop. Motels are a dime a dozen but Beachside offers a little extra that makes the stay great. I highly recommended it.

Came for one night,Thursday August 4, 2025 and was to check out Friday August 5,2025.
Arrived at location 9pm. The parking area was packed full and the center garden area was packed with people enjoying the evening. That in itself wasn't bad it was the heavy stench of weed and cigarettes that was a turn off.

We unloaded our bags and 2 dogs,entered the room and the stench of stale cigarettes is what greeted us. The sofa and chairs around the dining table are so badly stained and smelled we dare not touch them. The sink hasn't seen a good scrub in years. The previous occupants cheese and coffee cream were left on top of the fridge to rot in the summer heat.

The bedroom carpet had not been vacuumed as there was, what appeared to be, popsicle sticks stuck to the floor in plain sight at the perimeter of the bed floor.

The floors/ ceiling you can hear everything going on in the above unit.

We did NOT stay the night! We returned the key and left!

Don't know how people rate this hotel as great accomodations except for it being right next to the beach.

We come here every year and the service that you receive from the staff is fantastic! Amanda always takes care of us. She goes above and beyond and is an asset to this motel. She makes our experience exceptional. The motel itself is very clean and so close to skaha Lake.
Location is ideal! Love this place and love the staff, especially Amanda! Thank you for always making our vacation wonderful:)

The second I pulled into the parking lot I regretted not bringing my dogs ! The parking lot had a dog treat truck!! The lady running the truck was super friendly! The motel was dog friendly and clean !! For being a dog friendly motel it didnt smell at all like wet dog or anything .The ladies at the front desk were polite and knowledgeable! Our room was air conditioned and the beds were comfortable! I was definitely expecting a lot less for the price . The man who I believe could of been the owner or manager was kind and friendly even helping me park my truck onto an awkward spot. Its across from a nice park and close to skaha lake, there is an area in the center where you can bbq or hang out ...it is about a 10min walk to the closest store but a nice evening stroll ...definitely recommend this place for a place to lay your head while making summer memories !

We recently stayed at Beachside Motel in Penticton and had a pleasant experience. We booked three one-bedroom suites.

The biggest advantage is definitely the location—just steps from Skaha Beach, which makes it super convenient for families and anyone wanting to enjoy the lake. It’s also a lot quieter than Okanagan Lake.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and check-in was smooth. The rooms we booked offers handy amenities such as air conditioning, two queen beds with a sofa bed (easily accommodating a family of four), an outdoor eating and BBQ area, and a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, which are great for longer stays.

That said, the rooms are a bit dated and could use some upgrades, but they were clean and comfortable, which was what mattered most for us. The rates are also quite reasonable compared to other places in the area.

Overall, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly, family-oriented stay near the beach, Beachside Motel is a solid choice.

They are awesome! I’ve been Sunny motel too but Beachside is much better and super clean, spacious and well-maintained. Also they had all the kitchen utensils. Only 5mins walk to Shaka Lake.
Price was reasonable too even tho I booked it on the smae day, I love it ❤️
I’ll definetely come back in Summer.
