Nice little train station with a good amount of seats in waiting area. The station was nice and clean. If you are looking to book Uber or lyft while you are in belleville then you can try uride app.

I was honestly impressed with the Belleville train station—probably the cleanest one I’ve ever been in. The whole place is really nice, everything was easy to navigate, and the lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were also spotless, which is rare for a station. Great experience overall!

Cleanest & brightest VIA Station ever! Professional and friendly staff help with your train adventure! Given the restraints' that COVID is inflicting on everyone - it's surprisingly refreshing to find people at the station, trying to make your journey as best they can. I have seen some reviews saying that the area is not the best. That is not the point - the station does what it does impeccably in a safe a contentious manner.

The original is a heritage building. The newer building is larger with a bridge (with elevators) to a new second platform.

Careless employees consistently use entrances to exit this parking lot and cut off customers and their family members while doing so because they don’t want to wait for you to turn. Reported to head office. I have seen it countless times at this location, but this time you almost hit me while doing it. Never seen such careless VIA staff before in all my years using VIA services.

This review isn't necessarily for the Belleville station but that is where I boarded and came back to but moreso for via rail overall.
When booking your seats online I chose a window seat both ways. You assign seat numbers. On both my travels I boarded to discover someone in my assigned seat....twice...those people did not move when I arrived nor were made to move out of the seat I chose online, the attendants did not advocate for me to get into my seat. To be honest kinda annoyed me. If I'd wanted an isle seat I would have chosen one and both trips due to people just doing what they wanted I had to sit where I could. Why assign seat numbers then if they don't guarantee your seat? Why let you choose window or isle if it makes no difference?
