I've done several days fly fishing with Matt on different systems and different formats (jet boat, walk & wade) for different species. Matt is super-knowledgeable re fish and fishing across a wide range of systems in southwest BC (and beyond), a superb caster and a talented instructor. Good communicator in advance of trips, excellent equipment and a safe, very competent operator in wilderness settings. Also patient, enthusiastic and a great guy to spend a day on the water with. Highly recommended.

Incredible day chasing bull trout. The scenery is insane, the fish pull harder and are way more aggressive than I was expecting. More like a steelhead than any other fish Ive encountered. Smashing flies on top, long runs, big healthy fish. Can’t recommend Matt enough.

After fishing with Matt Bentley several times over the past three years, I can confidently say that he is the best, most credible fishing guide in the Lower Mainland and among the very best in BC. He has fished these waters since his childhood and knows and respects the land and resource deeply. I've caught sea-run cutthroat and bulltrout, steelhead, and salmon with him on flies in a variety of rivers. He can fish in every style and method, from conventional gear to double-handed fly rods. He is especially gifted as a spey casting instructor. Finally, he has taken my daughter on many occasions, from age 9 to 11, and taught her with patience and expertise.

Matt and Frank I 110 percent recommend awesome day out on the river Fraser 4 sturgeons between 6 foot 9 and 8 foot 2 and lost a couple. I recommend anyone who wants to feel the power of these dinosaurs these are the boys to make your dreams come true 🎣🎣

Sage of the rivers. Matt grew up in BC and knows pretty much every system inside out. If you wanna get on fish and just have a great day in the BC wild then he’s your man
