Cleanliness was not up to par, and the service was hostile.

Checked in Monday evening, no staff on site, management all being done remotely from home. Found the bathroom had not been cleaned, hair on shower walls and swept into corners, surfaces not wiped, stains on the carpet and walls. I called to switch rooms and they did eventually accommodate that after stating they didn’t believe the room was dirty.

Second room wasn’t as bad but you could tell it had not been deep cleaned in a while. Water comes out of the shower and tub spout at the same time, so the water pressure is weak, and the water temperature will suddenly turn scalding. Trim around doors was also broken off, there was a hole in the shower curtain, and indents in the walls behind doors, overall just an old outdated room that hasn’t seen any standard maintenance. Some kind of weird red stain on the wall.

Also if you’re a non-smoker, don’t open the hallway door because the smoke smell is overwhelming. People openly smoke in the rooms here despite signage, which I saw myself and is quite obvious from the smell.

Called and texted to see about getting a 50% refund after all this, and instead of trying to come to a resolution, the staff member invented a series of wild accusations about me (that I hosted a loud party, that I left the room a mess, the photos I took were from a different hotel (!) etc.), all of which is untrue. Very insulted to have paid $190 to stay in this sub par motel and then have my integrity questioned while these lies were spewed at me by staff. The person I spoke to even denied that the room next to mine was occupied that night, even though I could hear/see someone in there talking loudly on the phone and smoking in the room next to the open window facing the parking lot. All this from staff/management who aren't even on site to know what's going on.

This is an $89 a night kind of place, not $170+ tax.

If you’re looking for somewhere clean and peaceful to sleep while on a long drive, with friendly service, I recommend booking somewhere else, in this town or another near by.

Very comfortable room and ultra clean. Small detail but the tea tree shampoo and conditioner provided in the shower was great! |The facility was very busy but the room was quiet.|The attached restaurant offered a variety of foods and was very tasty, just what we needed after a long day of driving.

We stayed here for a night on our way to New Liskeard. For a night stay I would say its ok.

Room is ok, the bed was comfortable, the sheets are clean which is important. But the pillows are small, hard and high. Was not comfortable at all. Photo attached for reference

Location- close to highway so you can hear the traffic going by.

Service- I cannot speak about service because it was quick check in. You check in get your key and your on your own.

Overall ok

Would I stay here again? Maybe will try others to compare

It seems as though there are fraudulent credit card charges from the Philippines every time a room is booked here….
Good food and nice updated rooms though.
