The Blue Owl is what I’d call a home away from home. This is luxury rustic far beyond anything I could have imagined! Everything we needed was available, including hairdryer, plush house robes, little flashlights and night lights to get you to the bathroom without turning on the lights, fans to move the hot summer air around, propane BBQ, outdoor Adirondack chairs, picnic table and horseshoe toss. My hubby says the mattress was the best part, even better than our own! The place has 2 fridges, work great, and make ice with no problem. The water tastes great, so we just filled our jugs to go day tripping. The kitchen setup is so functional, and most things are within arms length so clean up was a breeze. The living area has a settee that is so comfy with a blanket to get cozy and a reading light handy within reach. The bathroom clawfoot tub is fantastic and yes there is plenty of hot water to fill it. Even though it was hot out, I did use the infrared sauna. Within walking distance is Graham Lake; I will confess it’s the most beautiful lake I’ve ever swam in. Thank you, Julie, for the most quiet and comfortable holiday we’ve ever had.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were greeted by the host who was friendly and kind. We were provided with a loaf of bread, coffee and some eggs. We took our 2 month baby without a problem. Nice deep bath tub. The place is lit up at night with lights which make it easy to navigate the loft!

This is a "MUST" place to stay.... it is such a unique place. Just like a Fairytale cottage.
A Rustic and cozy cabin with a small fireplace to keep you toasty warm. Here it's a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.

Just as pictured, this charming b&b is a joy both inside and out. Nature and beautiful scenery abound on both Denman and nearby Hornby Island. I can't wait to return.

Our stay at The Blue Owl was a perfect summer vacation. We spent a lot of time at the table outside playing games, dinning and reading books.
We were thrilled to find that Graham Lake was 20 min walk from the Blue Owl. Amazing spot for both couples and families.

The Blue Owl - perfectly peaceful and quiet! After a hectic few months at work, I was looking for a place to get away from the busyness of every day life and found it here. Everything I could think of was provided, including a Blue Owl blend of coffee! The cottage was spic and span, the bed super comfy and I loved falling asleep and waking to a chorus of bird songs. The sauna and big claw foot bathtub were added luxuries that I thoroughly enjoyed. Julie went out of her way to make sure all my needs were taken care of, even sharing her basil plant with me for my salad! There are many beautiful walking trails through the forests on Denman Island and I felt totally safe walking on my own. Everyone is very friendly, the craft shops contain awesome and funky finds created by local artists, the general store has all the necessities. I was there at the end of June and found the Saturday market provided all kinds of fresh vegetables, baking and local art. I highly recommend a stay at the Blue Owl on Denman Island!

The Blue Owl B & B is a hidden gem, and like something out of a fairytale. It brims with charm and character, and is in a beautiful spacious place.

On top of all that, the bed was very comfortable as the claw foot bathtub was a huge bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and very useable, especially considering how small it is.

We hope to come back someday!

Our family of four stayed at Denman’s lovely Blue Owl B&B for two nights. It was the perfect little private place to relax and explore the island. The kitchen, BBQ, sauna and tub are all perfect, and the beds are comfortable. We loved our swim in the nearby lake and explored many beautiful rainforest trails and low tide beach walks. Thank you!
