General speaking this motel is worth to live
price is reasonable , person is very nice !!
perfect location like I can view the sea just though the window of my room , fresh air , and amazing view of sunset !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing

it is free the hotel person added us the bed and mattress
service is good , room got a kitchen we can cook the seafood just fished , that is awesome like never happened in other hotels I have ever live .

room condition need improve but the price is more than reasonable
Any help we asked the motel person is happy to provide the service right the way !

I spent the entire week with my grandparents right here
the motel provided the wheelchair for my grandma when she want to go fishing, motel provided us lot of information for where we can go for travelling and eating , thank you very much for the back home style service

it is a very good place for enjoy the sea view and relax
perfect location and convenient transportation

room condition hard service still need improve
but the soft service like welcome , offer help is so good to worth to live

hope the business better and better
and hope to go there with my grandparents again

Fabulous location. Cute Motel. It's older but has a fun retro feeling. We had a room at the front. We enjoyed the sunset at a picnic table on the grass in front of our room. Service was friendly and accommodating. They brought in an extra fan for us and supplied us with nice wine glasses. The room was pleasant and clean. Beds were actually very comfortable. Two great restaurants in either side. All round nice affordable get-a-way to the Sunshine Coast!

DO NOT STAY HERE. Go next door to the Bella Beach Inn which is professionally run and you'd get the same great location. I wish I could choose "no stars" for Blue Sky Motel which is one of the dirtiest and most neglected places I've ever stayed and I've been around the world. Towels I wouldn't donate to an animal shelter, a big- enough kitchen with burnt pots and 2 mugs for 3 of us, as well as assorted flea market items like one beer stein and a wine glass. We stayed for 4 nights and at no time did anyone clean the room or change the towels. The fridge didn't close properly. I made a special request that the garbage (kitchen=cooking=food) be taken out and the female employee seemed surprised. That happened once. The bathroom had something black growing on the ceiling and a badly stained tub. There were surfaces in that suite (fancy word!) that had not been cleaned in a long time. The mirrors reminded me of a re-staging of Dorian Grey. I would not touch the wall to wall carpet with your bare feet. In the bathroom was one cake of soap and two tiny bottles of Chinese shampoo. Maybe we could have congratulated ourselves if this place had been a bargain but it was $150 a night in August. Basically we checked in and were on our own for 4 days. The only redeeming quality of this place was that the beds were fine- which was a relief. The location is optimum: right across from the beach - where you can't swim easily because of rocks covered in barnacles and slime. But it's very nice to walk along the promenade and enjoy the restaurant and café nearby. What difference does "family run" make in the case of Blue Sky? Must be a very cheap and lazy family.

Where do I start . Made a reservation to stay here and require a room with two double beds but go there and found a room with 1 single and 1 double for 100.00 a night . Wasn’t told all other rooms were booked and the management offered to bring be a single mattress but was told it would be 20.00 more . I politely said no but was very irritated.
After we checked in we went about our business and came back a couple hours later and it was cold in our room . I went to turn on the thermostat and found the numbers worn off and written in marker . Heard the click and assumed the heater would come on, but it did not .
The heater in the room with two double beds heater did work .
Went and told management that the heater in main room was not working . She comes over and checks the dial it was on then goes to feel the element and it was cold .
She said she would call her husband.
After about 10 min he comes in and says sometimes it works sometimes it does not .
So this tells me they had prior knowledge of the heater not working .
I was told to keep the bedroom door open and the heat will eventually warm up the room. Was not impressed .
My daughter then went into the bedroom to change her clothes and the bedroom door would not shut . I had to pull up on it and it still wouldn’t close .
This was becoming a nightmare with one event after another .
I then went to use the bathroom and after I was finished I flushed the toilet and it started to flush but then it backed up .
After a couple of attempts to flush and the water ready to pour out I went to get the manager again.
She comes back and goes to the bathroom and tells me this is what the bucket was for that I was to scoop the water out of the toilet and it should go down again . I was appalled.
Again they had prior knowledge of this and failed to mention it.
We all that point decided to go to bed .
The bed was very uncomfortable and I woke up fairly early to find the room had not warmed very much .
I went to take a shower and was completely disgusting to find a half a bar a soap and hair still on the shelf of the shower surround.
As well the shower head was on a moveable extension but no place to put the shower head. I might as well just washed my hair on the sink . What a joke .
Checkout was at 11:00 and I took the kids to an Easter egg hunt and while there I received a call from the motel manager that she wanted to know if I was staying another night. I said we would be coming to get our things only to find she had already removed our things including our two iPads that belonged to my kids and left all of it in their office which I should mention was left unlocked for anyone to take them .
I was furious and hurried back to the motel and demanded to speak to the owner in which I demanded 50% of our room cost and was told she would call her husband.
After he arrived she filled him in their language and was told I disrespected her and I wasn’t going to get a refund or reimbursement of any kind to complain to whom I want to if I so wish to choose. She even made my kids cry and said she had no right to take my stuff out of the room as I was only gone 1 hour past checked out.
The overall cleanliness was horrible, the electrical outlet near my daughters bed was dangling and I’m pretty sure that’s a fire code regulation.
I urge anyone wanting to visit Sechelt to not stay at this motel ever. A part from the view of the ocean this hotel should not be in business . I am notifying Tourism BC, the District of Sechelt, and will have them written up on every regulation and health code violation I can find. I will not let them get away with this .

Very dirty. Cobwebs on every corner of the room, bed, and furniture. Bathtub has pink bacteria growing on it. Almost certain the bedding was not changed before me. The website said it was 119 a night but the lady charged me 140. I just wanted to have a place for me and my daughter to sleep s9 I accepted the price but I couldn't believe how dirty the room was. Didn't look like it had been vaccummed or cleaned in any way in a long time.

I spent a few nights here in 2017 and it was dirty. This April 2019 I spent a few nights again here and the room is clean, the service was good, price is very good. Also there is good view to see the sea. We can go fishing and catch crabs.

The owners are very kind and will work with you 😉. It's not a 5 star room, but the view from the room was!! The area was right in the middle of travelling up and down the west coast. Clean, but bring your own towels, a fan if you go in the summer,

Nobody at front desk...had to call and wait for the manager. No toilet paper...Dust everywhere...Musty smell in room...had to air out. Coffee Pot but no coffee...no coffee cups or glasses or anything to drink out of. 2 old bath towels and 2 hand towels and they were very small (the bath towels). The place was just generally a mess...No wonder we were the only ones that were staying there...you get what you pay for I guess...
