I could feel its aura from miles away. I crossed the border into NS and knew that this was no normal Canadian province - this was the home of the blueberry man. Obviously it is visually stunning, as you can see, but nothing quite captures the experience of the blueberry man. Not images, and certainly not my humble words. It is the quintessential Canadian experience. I missed the birth of my first born for this. No regrets.

Someone decided the town of Oxford needed a giant blueberry statue at the gas station, and they made it happen. That’s a beautiful thing. Why does the blueberry have lizard eyes? What happened to his arms? So many mysteries. Amazing experience, and worth a stop anytime I’m in the area.

This ethereal creature greets me with a supple smile each time I gaze into its lusting eyes. I am greeted with a sense of warmth and comfort when I enter the gaze of the Blueberry Man. The highlight and joy of my week is seeing, feeling and experiencing the Blueberry Man.

the Oxford Blueberry Man is my favorite Nova Scotian cryptid. would recommend to anyone trying to tear the thin veil of reality before them and lurk shivering and naked and scared in the dark abyss of nothingness, cowering behind a celestial pillar of unfathomable uncertainty as the Blueberry Man looms over you... forever searching... staring...

The blueberry man seems to have lost his arms over the years but did appear to have a fairly fresh coat of paint. Ample parking given the location, and nice set-up to take pictures.

If you have to stop for drinks, or bathroom , why not there. It's silly but why not ? It's as good as anywhere else.
