We stayed here three nights in early July on the second floor in a room at the front of the hotel. King size bed was comfortable and room was spacious for two people. A lovely sitting area outside the room in the hallway was perfect to sit in for early mornings before breakfast. The hotel was very quiet even though most(or all) of its rooms were occupied. Breakfast in the dining room each morning was amazing. A nice offering of a full breakfast and always a friendly server. We enjoyed dinner in the dining room one night and then on the outside patio which was also very nice. Food was very good with our compliments to the chef. The hotel staff were so nice and helpful with any questions. We would definitely come back to stay here when visiting Lunenburg again, which is a seaside town worth a visit!

Everything about the Bluenose Lodge is thoughtful and attractive. Despite being on a corner in Lunenburg, the location is quiet. It’s a 12 minute walk to the center of town. Parking is easy and the breakfast was “to order” and good quality. Dinner was very good too, with a tofu dish for vegetarians, a rarity in Nova Scotia. The innkeeper has hired friendly and competent employees and is at the helm himself every day.

The decor is lovely, the service is very good, a pleasant and helpful server. The food was below standard. We were there mid-morning for brunch. Bacon was over-cooked, dried out and tasteless, potatoes were burned and barely cooked in the middle, eggs were dry, and tasteless. My friends' had a similar experience with an over-cooked breakfast bowl. Menu prices were higher than normal for inferior fare. I don't know if lunch and dinner are a better experience, having never dined there. Whatever. we'll go to the Kiwi Cafe in Chester, next time. A longer drive but worth it!

Spent 2 nights at this amazing bed and breakfast. Stayed in their accessible room on the main floor. It was so comfortable and suited my needs perfectly. They made sure I had a medication fridge and that my ice packs were kept frozen. I can’t even believe how clean the room was and the breakfast options were plenty and delicious!! Will stay here again the next time we visit Lunenburg!!

The Bluenose Lodge was a wonderful destination. It has been painted in the colourful style of Old town Lunenburg charm, with high end, tasteful decor. The service was lovely. The bedding was deluxe! It’s walking distance to Lunenburg so you can easily go check out the town. The breakfast was included with our stay- delicious avocado toast on sourdough with poached eggs. The dining room was closed for a wedding the night we were there, but usually there is dinner available.

The Knot across the street was busy so three of us ventured over to Bluenose lodge for patio dining at lunch. The stacked beet salad was superb and the fish and chips were very high quality. Eat here.

The staff at the Bluenose is so friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious and comfortable (though the mattress needed replacing). The meals in the dining room were delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch couches with a glass of wine after a day in Lunenberg.
