Attention, la vidéo et la présentation du website ne reflÚte pas la réalité sur le site. à l'entrée on trouve un site en plein chantier de construction. La propreté laisse à désiré à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur du chalet.

The employees were all very friendly. The facilities were more than adequate. They had an above average beach for a cottage, a decent sport court and giant pillow/trampoline that my kids enjoyed.

My only complaint was the cleanliness of the cottage itself. The deck was filthy! I suspect it's never been cleaned. It would need about an hour with a pressure washer to rectify it. We couldn't eat outside at all. The interior was not as bad but could also have used a good scrub down.

We stayed from July 2 to July 5, 2024. Here is the comment I left on their customer survey:
The beach was closed and all water use prohibited due to the possibility of blue green algae being present in the lake. That was not the main problem though: There was only one email notifying us about this on the day we arrived. There was no communication about test results from the ministry, or when they could be expected, or if swimming might be a possibility, not to mention if it was safe to shower or use any tap water for anything. We had to go and seek out staff to ask, who provided no information. Only when we were leaving and pressed the staff, did they confirm the presence of blue green algae. Why was there no communication for the 3 days we were there? I mean, this is a health issue and I would expect explicit directions from staff. When we asked if we could shower safely, the staff refused to say yes or no. That is completely unacceptable.
It seems the size of Bonnie lake resort has outpaced the carrying capacity of Bonnie lake, and the blue green algae problem will only get worse. It also seems that we were kept in the dark so we would not demand a refund. For example, if you stay at a hotel or resort and cannot shower, or safely use the tap water, it would seem within reason that a refund would be warranted. We feel lied to and taken advantage of by your company. We have stayed at Bonnie Lake 3 times, but we would not book here again.

this place has really went downhill, we attended early July this year and 4 years in a row now we’ve been coming here but this year was much different for a couple of reasons, most of the rentable cottages have mice infestations which is not sanitary and isn’t something you want to be dealing with when your on “vacation”

(we called right away when we saw mice and it took them over 24 hours to check it out)

(The guy that checked it out was very nice and understanding, the only staff member that i talked to who was)

also we couldn’t even swim 🙁 the water was contaminated with blue green algae and they decided to not let us know before we made the long trip up,

(and i was told from a friend/worker from another resort nearby that the lake wasn’t usable for over a month after we left)

do to these circumstances we didn’t know if the drinking water was okay, when we asked the bonnie lake resort staff if we could they wouldn’t tell us if it’s okay to drink or not which was very strange.

after all that the family and I have decided that we will never be coming back here after all this bs. we wanted a partial refund and all they’d offer was a discount to rent out a cottage next year. i felt insulted, after all of that why would i come back?

Please use due diligence before purchasing a park model cottage. Many promises are made at time of purchase. They sell and play on your dreams. They do not deliver on these promises.
Ask about getting out. Ask about how much money you will lose. They set your sale price and take a massive administrative fee on the sale. They’ll tell you it’s fair market value. But it’s determined by them and you have no recourse.
Again ask the hard questions and get EVERYTHING in writing to give to a good lawyer. The nickname “great screw” has been well earned.

Greate place to stay with family who loves nature and quite! Amazing lake views and peaceful trails.
The resort house was clean and well prepared for our 3 days stay. WIthin service we'd been provided with free pack of woods for outdoor fireplace. There were children activities in the morning.
Definately recommend for all!

It’s a nice and calm place, if you need to be out of town I recommend Bonnie Lake Resort where you enjoy swimming, kayak and several other activities, the community is great, the staff of welcome center are amazing people.
The only thing is you need to take your food and beverages with you.

Overall a nice stay here. We rented a cottage privately from an owner with a cottage here. |Cottage itself is nice, and ac is great to have in summer heat. We had waterfront, but would have loved a dock|We were 3 adult sisters, the queen bed and the double over single bunkbed were alright, but my other sister had a single over single and we had to put 2 mattresses on that bed as it was so hard, you could feel the plywood.|Tank was supposed to be pumped daily, but we stayed 3 nights and on the last night we had an overflow at 10:30pm. Thankfully the guy to pump it was still in the park and pumped it, but it wrecked the time we had watching the fireworks show that was going on at the time.|You can use their canoes/kayaks/paddle boats on the beach, but only from 10-6. Would have been nice if it stayed open longer so you could go for a nice paddle after supper. Nice playground for the kids there too. Overall it was a great stay, first time at a cottage resort for us, it was alright, but not sure I'd do it again
