La dame à l'accueil est très gentille et parle lentement l'anglais pour nous les francophones Merci! Prix très adéquat surtout en haute saison. Maison chaleureuse avec un décor typique de la Nouvelle-Ecosse. Petit déjeuner excellant. Nous y retournons!|

Wij verbleven hier 1 nacht op doorreis in Nova Scotia. De guesthouse is een mooi groot huis. De uitbaters, koppel van 80 jaar, wonen op het gelijkvloers. Boven zijn 4 kamers met 1 gemeenschappelijke badkamer. Er is geen eigen sanitair op de badkamer.|Kamer is zeer ruim en proper. |Parkeren kan gratis naast het huis.|Ontbijt is inbegrepen en wordt in de keuken geserveerd. Bestaat ui toast en zelfgemaakte confituur, hardgekookte eieren, kaas, zoet gebak, cornflakes en verse fruitsla.|Zeer gastvrije dame.

I recently stayed at Brown's Guest Home in Amherst for two nights with a group of five colleagues for a work trip. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. The beds were very comfortable, and the guest house was spotless. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious home-cooked breakfast and coffee that was served each morning. The host was also very friendly and hospitable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. My husband and I stayed here in August 2018 and we were warmly welcomed by Nancy and Deane. Our room was beautifully decorated and had lots of room for us and our suitcases. The bed was comfortable and there was a lovely breeze through the window. The shared bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. We were provided with a delicious breakfast and entertaining conversation in the morning. There is wifi and free parking beside the house. The town of Amherst is a central location for exploring the area and well worth a visit!

What a lovely experience. Nancy's delightful Victorian home is comfortable and impeccable. I felt very welcome and enjoyed the good conversations at breakfast which included a delicious fresh fruit cocktail. The Brown's is a cozy refuge for anyone stopping overnight in Amherst. Highly recommended.

Fantastic host. enjoyed hearing about the family and history of the building. Breakfast was simple but good. Rooms were more than adequate. Great location. Easy check in. Great value for the money. We were two couples in our mid 60s.

We stayed one night in the 'Green Room' with a shared bathroom. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a delight including wonderful oat cakes. Nancy was a super hostess and made you feel right at home. We enjoyed our stay very much and the conversations with the other guest. The TripAdvisor picture does not resemble the house at all, so check out their website for the real deal. We recommend you stay here if you get a chance to be in the area.Thanks Nancy for making us feel at home in your home.

Amherst and area is full of interesting history and close to some of Nova Scotia's well-known attractions.
