I had an unforgettable night here! The aurora I saw was absolutely breathtaking. Before coming here, I went on two aurora-hunting trips. While they were amazing, I couldn’t help but feel the chill. But in this warm and cozy cabin, I was so much more comfortable and could really enjoy the experience. Plus, Tracy’s cooking was delicious! The little tipi she set up made for a perfect backdrop for aurora photos. She was so kind and friendly, making us feel refreshed and energized.

We recently spent two wonderful evenings at the cozy cabin. The booking procedure was so easy, and the company was very quick to respond when we requested a change in evenings, which we really appreciated. Tracy and her staff have a real skill for bringing people together (often from around the globe!) and making everyone feel welcome - truly "hosts with the most!" You may not be able to count on the Aurora to appear...but you can definitely count on having an enjoyable evening savoring fresh bannock, delicious fish chowder, and warm conversation around the campfire. Northern spirit at its best. Thank you, Tracy and Bharat, for helping make our trip to Yellowknife so memorable (and the Aurora are pretty spectacular, too...!!?) Don't hesitate, book your tour with Bucket List!

Tracy believes in building relationships and providing top class hospitality to the visitors coming to Yellowknife. Don’t miss out on her fresh bannock and warm chowder when you go to her beautiful (and warm!!) cabin for the Aurora viewing. Cabin is cozy and beautiful and you will be amazed to see Tracy’s collection. She went above and beyond to get champagne and cake for us as we were celebrating our first anniversary. Tracy brings her amazing energy to the group and motivates everyone to connect and have a wonderful night?

Although the aurora itself was gorgeous, this was the most meh of the viewings I booked, out of 4. The cabin is cute, and Tracy encouraged playing dress up, which was fun. But if you're there to take photos of the aurora, this is NOT your tour. There was not enough space to spread out, and everyone constantly used flashlights, which makes it much harder to see the aurora. The photographer constantly offered to take shots of people with the aurora, but his own constant use of flash made it blindingly difficult to photograph my own shots. Also, the location itself is landlocked, not lakeside, so you don't get any water photos, making my shots rather boring.

On a personal note, COVID is still out there, and when I asked to cancel the tour due to two of my group getting sick, Tracy refused to refund our money. She is a small business owner, so I get it, but her policy means that she is encouraging folks in a group who were exposed to COVID to knowingly expose others.

Of the tours I took, I highly recommend B. Dene (Bobby has great stories and food; felt very homey) and Morningstar's tours (3 different locations! With a really personable photographer, Penny). For all of the other tours, I got beautiful lakeside views, guides that chatted and answered lots of questions, and helpful fellow photographers. Skip the Bucket list.

I wish I could give this six stars. Tracy is so warm and welcoming and has gone out of her way to turn her customers into friends. The shuttle was comfortable and took about ten minutes to get to her cabin. The cabin was genuinely so cozy and Tracy kept us entertained with stories and truly delicious soup and bannock and smores! Unfortunately it was a cloudy night, so we didn’t see the aurora, but I was so grateful to have booked this tour because we had so much fun that it didn’t feel like a waste of money or time, which I might have felt on a different tour. I really appreciated the clean outhouse too! We had so much fun we joined Tracy on her city tour the next day!

It was an unexpectedly fantastic experience of staying in the re-e-a-a-lly Cozy Cabin with such a hospitable Tracy and her devoted teammates and handymen Terry and Derrek.
Thank you, Tracy, for making your guests feel like at home in your hot heated in advance hut with unique collections of porcelain, books, fur clothing and hats, and of course endless stories! With your fluffy bannock and freshest fish chowder that you made in front of us, fragrant tea and hot chocolate with the wide choices of jam…
God bless you for your heart opened for all your guests! God bless your wonderful “cozy”business!

We took two tours with Tracy, and we're are so lucky we did. The first was the Bison Tour, and we were lucky enough to see a Bison up close. We suspect that due to the fires in the area, most of the pack were seeking safety. It really didn't matter how many we saw, it was an amazing experience. Tracy provided so much background information about Yellowknife and it's people. The second tour we took was the City Tour, which I would highly recommend. The legislative building tour is not to be missed in my opinion. Tracy is wonderful, and gave of her time generously.
