Simple small floating bridge to cross the Buntzen Lake. Not a pretty bridge. Nice views of the lake and surrounding areas from it though. Good to hit here if coming down from a hike and needing to cross; I came from Eagle Mt Viewpoint via the Academy Trail to visit this spot.

A beautiful lake with clear blue water in the heart of forested mountains, accessible by an easy half-hour walk from the last bus stop.
Although you can also drive to the parking lot near the lake by private car and have a family picnic there.
The hiking trail around the lake is also very beautiful, easy and safe.

The floating bridge is a very small one, not as what I expected. It is not even a touristic place to visit. It basically adds convenience for local residents to walk to the second beach. The trail that goes to the floating bridge, however, is very beautiful. Overall, it is worth to go through the bridge and continue with the trail that goes to the second beach.

We did the Diaz Vista walk. Beautiful views. You have to reserve a parking spot in advance in the summer. BC Hydro have a web page. If you can't get in, drive to East Road and Wyndham and park, then take the bus. Note that the return bus will only drop you off at the fire station so you will have a 1km walk. It's also a long walk from trailhead to the bus stop.

We were on a 2wk break checking out local provincial parks when we found this. Amazing scenery and having life guards on duty gave you a feeling a being safe in the water. We'll worth a visit for the day

Just okayish, we did hike from sasamat lake to Buntzen lake. Both lakes are beautiful and but Butzen lake had more picnic area. If you gonna use bus then be careful because Google says last bus at around 9pm but it is at 7:30, they close the door so vehicles can't enter after 8pm. Also no drinking water so carry your own. Restrooms are there and there's a deck area too.
