I arrived at 2pm on a Saturday to be overwhelmed to see the line at the front door. I figured it would take an hour, and that's precisely how long it took. The staff were nice, so nothing against them but I just don't know why CAA doesn't have more locations and more locations open on a Saturday, especially.
I paid $31 (including tax) for the international driver's license. I only had to show my Ontario license and the CAA card. If you're a plus memeber, the photos are free. And you get it on the spot, which was great.
But I would HIGHLY suggest to try during the week, if possible. I think they said that Saturday's are always like this.

Outrageously Pathetic Service – Avoid This Store at All Costs!

I am absolutely furious with the disgusting experience my husband and I had at the CAA Don Mills location. If I could give ZERO stars, I would.

My husband went there for passport photos and specifically asked the photographer if the pictures met passport standards, since they looked dark, dull, and lacked the required brightness. The photographer couldn’t care less and casually said, “Yeah, it should work,” without ANY effort to check or assure quality.

Fast forward to July 16, 2025 – the photos were rejected by Service Canada. We were forced to spend another $30 to get proper photos done elsewhere, all because of the sheer negligence and laziness of your staff.

We returned on July 26, 2025 to raise a simple concern and request a refund. What happened next was absolutely unacceptable. The store manager not only ignored our concern, but flat-out rejected it with ZERO empathy. He didn’t even bother to listen. Instead, he spoke to us with shocking rudeness and disrespect, telling my husband to go stand in the line like everyone else—as if we were some kind of inconvenience for pointing out THEIR mistake!

We were forced to stand in a long, disorganized queue for over 30 minutes. The line was getting longer by the minute, and the entire staff was moving at a snail’s pace—incompetent, slow, and completely unbothered. There was no system, no separation of services, and absolutely no sense of responsibility. Each staff member was in their own lazy world while customers stood waiting endlessly.

This entire store is a joke. The staff is rude, untrained, and lack even the most basic customer service etiquette. The manager’s attitude was downright disgusting. No accountability, no apology, no solution—just pure arrogance.

DO NOT go to this CAA Don Mills location. Save yourself the time, money, and stress. They are incompetent, disorganized, and couldn’t care less about their customers. What a shame coming from a brand like CAA.

Recently visited this location wait time was 10 min. Went to get my international drivers licence. Staff is very Helpfull with tips and ideas for your travels. As members you receive maps and advice for your trip highly recommended. ❤️

Store was clean and nice. There was a long line but took about 15 minutes to clear. Liam was amazing and helpful and took about 5 minutes to get international drive permit including taking the photos.

Came in to see a consultant re: travel and was told we had to make an appointment. So we did. We made an appointment for a different day as the consultant was not availble.
On the day of our appointment, we arrived half an hour early and was told the agent was on lunch. So we waited until our allotted time slot, only to see the someone else was now being attended to before us. We were asked to wait further and will be seen "very shortly".
We waited half an hour.

What is the point of making appointments when someone else can waltz in and is seen right away? There was no acknowledgement about our 2pm appointment and no apologies were given.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

I went in on Tuesday at exactly 5:50 ( 10 minutes to closing) to get a international driver's license. The gentleman named GUY was absolutely fantastic! Never met a nicer person in my life. Honestly most places would hesitate to help me with 10 min left to closing but GUY helped me with a smile the whole time! Not only that, he answered some of the most ridiculous questions i had. He was patient, professional and just went above and beyond! More places, should hire people like this!! Thank you GUY!

I visit this store annually before my vacation to obtain an international driving license, and it’s always a pleasant experience. The location is incredibly convenient, with ample free parking available. The store itself is spotlessly clean and well-organized, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The associates are consistently friendly and helpful, making the process quick and efficient—I’m usually in and out within 10-15 minutes. I’ve also noticed other customers handling various services, like insurance or purchasing products, and they seem just as satisfied, assisted by smiling staff.

Had a good experience at the CAA Don Mills location. Everyone was friendly, the place is clean and well laid out, and the whole thing was quick, easy, short, and sweet. It took ten mins to get my international drivers permit and I appreciated how smoothly it all went.
