I recently met with Joe Odisho in regards to my home and auto insurance and I was greeted with genuine care. I am a long time member of CAA but have one complaint. Just before going to Europe we were buying travel products when it was proposed to us to buy international drivers licenses at $20 each. Naively we did (valid for a year). On arriving in France we picked up our car (from Avis) showed our Canadian drivers licenses and were on our way.

So where and when are international drivers licenses needed?

Is this just a money grab by CAA?

Will CAA refund our $40? You can have the licenses back.

Great service. Walked in ten minutes before closing and was able to grab an international drivers license with no headaches. All staff still had smiles on their faces despite me walking in right before close. Keep up the great work!

What a disappointing experience at the Orillia CAA. The store was extremely quiet. There was only one other customer beside myself. Two employees were arguing quite loudly with each other when I got there. No one said hello or approached me to offer help. When I asked for information they couldn’t answer my question adequately. Suggested I Google it.
It seems that they lacked product knowledge.
The young woman who took the payment for an item I purchased was inattentive and somewhat defensive while processing the transaction.
Will consider going elsewhere (Barrie) if I need help with any travel plans in the future.

Sadly, there are very few CAA stores left for us in Parry Sound. Just Sudbury, Northbay, Barrie and Orillia, so when we happen to be in Orillia, we wanted to stop in and pick up some maps. Boy... was this little store hard to find. Addresses don't help much here. My wife went in to get the maps, and the only staff member was a bit rude, and she stated that she is a travel agent, and you need to go to the desk. Nobody at the desk. The agent then came over and provided the maps after standing there. Not sure if we would use this store for our travel needs.
