We rented a cabin for 3 nights a the end of June. Our rustic cabin was clean and very comfortable.|We truly enjoyed the very quiet lake front location. Did some kayaking, swimming and just enjoyed the scenery.The proprietor Lynn is very friendly and accomodating.|If you don't like cooking your own dinner (like us), Haliburton Village isn't too far away.|The wifi signal is quite weak, and there is no TV. This actually enhances the experience of being close to nature, and to simply relax.|We will most definitely come back.|

We were looking for somewhere to stay to visit Algonquin Park and had left it until the last minute. Some of the prices in the area were really high, then we found Cabins at the Domain near Haliburton. The price for a cabin for the 3 of us (2 bedrooms) was really reasonable, especially considering how good it looked on the website. The photos and descriptions are not misleading, these are beautiful cabins, well spread out and very comfortable.||||There are plenty of canoes and kayaks to paddle out onto Drag Lake (which is far bigger than we thought!), so there is no need to pay extra to canoe elsewhere. The location is great for Haliburton if you want to go out for dinner or to the Pub, but the set-up at the Cabins has all you need to cook there. Breakfast is plentiful and included in the price.||||The proprietess, Lynn, is so nice. She was always available if we had a question but also left us alone so we could enjoy the solitude. There are some trails within walking distance. Not comparable with the Rockies of course, but good to get your boots on and explore. We saw deer in the Cabin area too!||||It's not too far to drive to the Algonquin Visitor Centre if you want to, but we didn't because we were only there for a couple of days and everything we wanted to do we could do from the Cabins!||||There is an outdoor fire-pit but we didn't use it. Lynn provides all the wood for your cabin's own fireplace (and there is normal heating too) and she keeps a fire going in the Conference Room.||||We stayed in 'Angelique' and it was perfect. I strongly recommend you consider this place if you want a bit of peace and tranquility with the opportunity to get out on the lake, hike a trail or 2 and enjoy the beautiful scenery.||||Also very close to the Haliburton Forest Wildlife Reserve, which is worth a visit...

Cabins at the Domain consists of eight log cabins which are comfortably appointed and beautifully situated on the North end of Drag Lake. They all face the lake with magnificent views of the water and opposite shoreline which at first glance appears to be void of any other cottages. In fact there are just a few, hidden away behind the trees. Hence, it is quiet and private. The property is unique and its manager, Lynn, is a wonderful hostess. She is delighted when visitors come and enjoy the beauty of the place and respect its tranquility. Lynn is friendly and always happy to provide guests with information and answer questions. At the same time, she is incredibly discreet. We visited the Cabins at the Domain four times each during 2015, 2014 and 2013. We highly recommend it for any discerning person who is looking for a peaceful place in which to enjoy nature and the beauty of the Haliburton Highlands. The breakfast is included in the price and a "do it yourself" arrangement in the communal kitchen. The kitchen can also be used to prepare lunches and dinners and each cabin is equipped with a BBQ. Haliburton is not far away for a restaurant meal if preferred.

We stayed for the first time at Cabins at the Domain over the Thanksgiving weekend, we were thrilled to get the one cabin that allowed our dog. We are a family of three with a 13 year old and there was enough space in our cabin “Leontine” for a camp cot for our son. We fell in love with this spot! So very peaceful. The leaves were at peak colours during our visit. With the mist off the lake in the mornings and the leaves falling around us it was beyond beautiful and tranquil. The cabins and the common areas have everything you need, and Lynn is such a lovely hostess. The weather was chilly and we loved the wood stove in our cabin. We also enjoyed an amazing turkey dinner with the other guests in the conference area with the huge stone fireplace. It was a Thanksgiving to remember. ||We were able to explore Halliburton from here. We drove about 35 minutes to the Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve to some incredible outlooks to see the fall colours. We also drove 15 minutes to Haliburton restaurants and to visit the Skyline Park — worth a visit.||So many great memories made to cherish. We just returned from 3 glorious days enjoying the beautiful Cabins at the Domain. Everything was absolutely lovely. Comfy accommodations, spectacular lake and grounds and all the amenities we needed to enjoy sunrise paddles, paddle boating and swimming. The best part was our dog Finn was welcomed with open arms and he had more fun then all of us out together. Thank you Lynn for your attention to detail and for creating a space for families to enjoy all the beauty that Drag Lake has to offer. A true hidden gem that we cannot wait to return to!

What an extraordinary and magical place. We had a family reunion and rented the entire property for 26 adults (8 cottages and a lodge that has 5 bedrooms). The grounds are amazing, quiet and tranquil. Lynn is an amazing host and was always available with just a phone call. My husband and I stumbled upon Cabins at the Domain in 2017 when looking for a quick two night getaway near Haliburton, we are so happy we found it and were able to share its beauty with our family. We made memories we'll never forget.||||There are two great sandy beaches on the property, kayaks, boats, swimming and fishing. Breakfast is available in the kitchen/reception building. The town of Haliburton is about 15 minutes away by car and has everything you need. ||||The only down side were the mosquitoes, we were there in mid-July and for about 3 hours at night (8pm-11pm), they were really bad, make sure you have bug spray as you are in their domain!||||I would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for peace and quiet, while enjoying the comfort of a cottage of your own.

We have been visiting The Domaine since our honeymoon in 2011. We go twice a year when possible. Aurelie cabin is our favorite place on earth to relax, recharge and attempt to achieve boredom. We never get bored.... |All the cabins are rustically elegant and the old Franklin fireplaces are the icing on the cake. Lynn Feagan is the charming host who curates this gem of Haliburton for us all to enjoy and is gracious and most kind. The 5000 acre property is secluded yet very handy to the town of Haliburton. We pack light as a trip to town is convenient, scenic and productive. Plus we are happy and proud to support the local economy and love shopping at V&S as these little department stores will keep big box retailers out of the community.|Lynn makes it easy to go green with her effective disposal policies as well.|My husband I will return year after year after year and recommend Cabins at the Domain to all unreservedly. Speaking of which - reserve immediately!

We love Cabins at the Domain. We have been twice with friends and look forward to each visit! The cabins are beautiful, clean and each of them have views of the lake right from the bed. There are free canoes, kayaks and peddle boats for use as well as life jackets and breakfast is included- what more could you ask for! We love it here and will return soon.
