The hotel had the perfect location for us easy access from the highway and again easy access to highway. The view from our room wasn’t the greatest we were in room 120 but again easy for us to go into the restaurant that was in the same building. Room was not bad but don’t expect to much.

This is a good place to stay. Room and beds were comfortable. In room fridge is a great thing to have. Tv was a little difficult to navigate but that could just be me. Good value for a reasonable price.

Sadly the front desk tried to increase price by $90 but we had our email from Expedia to prove otherwise! Tv remote did not work! Lack of sound proofing in rooms and hallways! Appears to be run by people who do not know the hospitality industry! People taking loud in the next room! We had a kitchenette, dishes had no lids! Bathroom was fine! Room was spacious! They should use a checklist for items guests need! Outrageous prices for the menu next door! The room when we entered was super hot as they did not have ac on! Ac was very very loud do we had to turn it off to sleep! Don’t book direct book thru Expedia! Place the castlegar is beautiful so I will be going back! Hopefully I will find a better place by then!

Place has no sound proofing (I've stayed in a lot of hotels with bad soundproofing, this was like people are in the room with you). Which might be fine if everyone is quiet, but we had a neighbor up partying until 6am, called the front desk multiple times they said they'd called them (which was a lie, we could hear everything going on in that room, no call, no door knock) and that we couldn't change rooms cause they were fully booked (which was a lie, we could book another room online).

So it's cheap but a gamble. And being lied to is frustrating.

Room was nothing like the pictures shown, bed was fine for one night then slowly turned you into a shrimp, no privacy sign, and nearly impossible to take a shower due to the hot water going cold randomly and having a bath was also near impossible due the stopper not knowing it needs to stop water. Me and my significant other left a day early just to go somewhere else.

I had tried to call the hotel to make a reservation but the call would not go through (the person you are calling is not available). I walked into the lobby and there was no one behind the desk but there was a phone and instructions to dial zero for assistance. I did this and it rang a few times and went to voicemail. A housekeeping staff, mopping nearby, told me the front desk staff would be there shortly as he was just down the hallway. Several minutes go by and another housekeeping staff noticed me and asks if I have been helped. She dials zero, nothing. She looks around and goes into the restaurant to get someone else. At this point, the front desk staff has noticed me and is making his way to the lobby. Once he was there the check-in was efficient and quickly completed. The room was a few dollars cheaper than listed on Expedia. We had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs to our second-floor room but were very pleased to see a newly-renovated and extremely clean room. The WiFi worked wonderfully and we both had excellent sleeps. The AC cooled the room but not excessively.

The room was very large with a separate washroom, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker etc. You can access the room internally or from the outside parking lot making it easier with luggage. The front staff were pleasant. It was a nice overnight stay.
