I had an excellent stay at the Canalta Hotel in Melfort! The highlight was definitely the continental breakfast—easily the best I’ve ever had, with a wide variety of options. The hotel also offers free parking, which is a great perk. It’s conveniently located right in town, making it easy to get around. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, with no deposit required, which made everything even smoother. The staff were friendly (overall - the check out lady was a bit rude) and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area! It is a bit loud, but you can get past that. I would say the price is a bit high but given there aren’t many choices for accommodation in Melfort I imagine they can charge what they want.
Unfortunately the pool was closed during our stay with no notice… although it is more like a bathtub given its size so I wasn’t to disappointed.

Great hotel-everything was perfect. Cannot say enough on how amazing the staff was- take great pride in their jobs. Room was clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choices. Great wifi. Highly recommend when traveling through-thank you to everyone for caring and making us feel at home

We enjoyed our stay at the canalta a lot. The hot breakfast was very nice and we appreciated all of the staff we interacted with. The breakfast area seemed well run and the tables were always clean, we did notice in the corner there were a ton of fruit flies around the vents and other dead bugs that seemed to have been sprayed with something but never cleaned up. Was not impressed with the house keeping service. We requested it on both days if only for fresh facecloths/coffee pods as we started with four and had four people in our room. The first day no one came so we had to go request more cloths the next morning. The second day they did come so that was nice and they did a good job tidying the room. From comments from others in our party our floor must have been first being cleaned as others reported the housekeeping coming in the evening when they were getting dressed for dinner and being told it was now or never. We also had family check in late at night to be put in a uncleared room. Seems like they may need additional housekeeping staff during busy periods. Overall this would not deter us from picking the Canalta Melfort again, the experience we had was great outside of the minor things mentioned.

When we checked into our room, I noticed that the rug looked like it hadn’t been properly vacuumed. Then noticed that there was soap residue on the bathroom counter. After checking the beds, we felt that one bed had not been changed based upon the imprint on the mattress topper. We called for housekeeping to come up and deal with these issues. They responded quickly and made everything right. Upon leaving I noticed that the TV stand hadn’t been dusted either. That doesn’t bother me as much as the other items. At checkout, I was happy with the adjustment to my bill. Thank you to Ainmol Chadha for his excellent customer service. The breakfast area has a large variety of items and was very good. I would stay here again.

Quite simply, the absolute best service I have ever received. Everything was beautifully clean, the breakfast was great. Jenna was so kind and helpful (she went the extra mile) and Dalton as well. Had a great,relaxing stay and will most definitely return.

First time staying at Canalta and it was quite pleasant. The breakfast station was stocked nicely (better than any other hotel I've stayed at) as well as the lady who was stocking it was on top of her game with cleaning and making sure everything was filled) the beds were very comfortable, although my room was not very clean (stains everywhere, hair in the bed, carpet was sticky) but after I wiped my room down with Lysol it was a pleasant stay!

This is my second time here and once again very pleased.Clean and spotless.
Breakfast was amazing for a buffet. One of the best breakfast buffet experiences in a hotel. Excellent staff. I found the staff amazing with the kids. Even gave one a teddy bear to make her feel better.
