Booked Ramada Stettler for 3 nights but they could only accommodate for 2 third being a Friday. So short notice to Canalta and I got the last room on hotel side - a King Executive on the mail floor. Very nice and quiet even though just down from the pool. Had breakfast with family at The Town Pump - very good too. Clean environment and great staff!

I am currently in an extended stay situation at the Canalta Hotel in Stettler.

The hotel is very well kept, equipped with large and clean rooms, and has an unbelievably personable, caring, friendly and helpful staff.

From the hotel manager to the cleaning staff, you are not going to find a better place in Stettler to call home for night.

The hotel includes a gym, hot tub, pool, and waterslide.

There is also a fantastic restaurant and lounge on site with a vast menu, and may I mention I have never had an unpleasant meal there.

The hotel encompasses a “Family Like" atmosphere.

I would highly recommend this location to anyone staying in Stettler for any period of time.

When I called and asked for a room with a King bed, if they had an exercise room and a pool I was expecting a room inside a hotel. My mistake, it is a Motel with doors to the outside. So I have to walk outside in the freezing Winter in my shorts to go workout. I can't wear my workout shoes as I have to walk in the muddy parking lot. The breakfast is not good either. I don't expect much there but this is not great, really. The room I had was old, they only have 2 lamps to light the room so it's dark. The carpet needs to be replaced. I won't stay here again. I've stayed in Canalta's in 3 other places that were all good. This one is worth skipping.

Stayed a night here with my wife for some R&R and didn't get it. Screaming children in the pool for 5 hours was enough to stress anyone out. Children playing is one thing but this was over the top screeching and screaming that could be heard perfectly from our room. A heads up or maybe a word when checking in would have spared us , dirty motels are quieter and more relaxing.

Location is easy to get to. Staff were attentive and helpful. We were not aware there was a motel side and hotel side. The motel side has only stair access. From the outside it looks okay, but inside the motel rooms the surface finishings are worn and in need of some updates or renos to the floors etc - tile floors were cracked and creaky, tub area clean but stained tile corners etc. The room had a faint stuffy smell. Rooms were clean and beds were fairly comfortable, furnishings are decent.
There is a free breakfast to go option available, plus a coffee bar machine area. The pool, hot tub and waterslide were good and fairly spacious pool area, but if you're in the motel side you have to walk outside and then back inside to get to the lobby and pool. Overall a decent stay for what is available in a small town.

Great location, close to the train station where we did the Polar Express. The pool, slide and hot tub were a wonderful addition for the children. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.

My experience with Canalta Hotels is one where I find the price of the rooms high for what you get in service and quality of rooms. It's an ok hotel. We stayed there with a group, because it has a waterrslide and pool for kids. It would not be my first choice.

We’ve stayed at the Canalta in Stettler twice. The staff are friendly. The beds are comfy with nice pillows. We really enjoy the pool because it has never been crowded. There is lots of parking.
The only thing we don’t like is the breakfast to go. The breakfast sandwiches are very dry and the other food is OK. I would prefer to get a voucher for the restaurant in the hotel.
