Popped into the Canoe and Paddle while visiting the area and had such a great experience. The service was absolutely amazing—Jake was super friendly and helped us decide what to order. We ended up getting chicken wings, poutine, nachos, a burger, and drinks.

The food, cooked by the wonderful Alice, was delicious and the portions were huge! Everything was full of flavor and definitely hit the spot—true comfort food. We left full and happy. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!!

I had a late lunch with my brother visiting from out of town to go down memory lane. The service was slow with one person clearly not really doing her job. I ordered 3 chicken nuggets and fries. Chicken nugget was burnt i couldn't eat. I told them. I got the meal taken off the bill. I will not be back. Do not recommend unless u drink alcohol.

Start off by being shown to a table that the seat was completely black duct tape. Waited for 12 minutes and no one even came to take a drink order or say hello. The restaurant was not busy by any means. We decided to leave as the sticky table tops and duct tape on the seats and lack of attention to customers was a real put off. had been there in the past and liked it, but it certainly has gone way downhill. As we left, we noticed three staff out having a smoke. Two of which were waitresses I guess that’s why we didn’t get any service. Perhaps in the future only one should be allowed off the floor at a time. There were other tables waiting for bills and waiting for items that we also noticed while we were waiting. Will not be back.

The patio is wonderful and it was great we could bring our dog. Being outside does mean bugs, so just be aware. Food was good, there were lots of options, vegetarian and gluten free. Note that they do not have a separate fryer for gluten free so there could be cross contamination. There are lots of beer on tap and prices are absolutely decent.

My family and I enjoyed a day in Lakefield so we stopped in at the Canoe and Paddle for some lunch. Our server was so lovely and attentive. She was good people. We all enjoyed our lunches. The food was delicious. The songs were good mild rock and roll hits.

Stopped in for dinner. What a vibe. Although the restaurant was full, we were seated right away and were catered to immediately. Had the poutine to start and was so delicious! I could have had 2 of those as a meal. Got the lemon garlic chicken for dinner and was not disappointed once again. Service was stellar.

Will definitely come back here when we are back in the area.

Met my family here for my bday lunch, and wow!! Excellent food, friendly staff, reasonable prices, this place was awesome! Will definitely be going back. I had the beef dip and it was one of the best ones I've had!!! 100% recommend this place.

I love this spot for the salmon goat cheese salad. It’s unexpectedly amazing. The pricing of this restaurant is excellent and the staff are always so kind and friendly. My partner and I love coming here when we’re in Lakefield. They offer a gluten free bun option and we’re knowledgeable about what had hidden gluten (like the pulled pork). Anyways, you should go here. It’s a cozy Canadian pub and you should definitely order that salad. 🥗 👌🏽
