The retreat overall was amazing. Beautiful location, with nice walking trails. Kayaking was fun even in this November cold. The cabin itself was quite nice, more like a house than a cabin. Something to note is that the whole area is a lot more elevated than we were expecting. The walk just to cabin alone is fairly steep, and most of the trails are quite steep. Our kitchen was somewhat understocked especially from utensils standpoint so come prepared. Actual fire pits would be nice instead of the propane ones as you cannot do much with those nor do they really put out much heat. Overall though I would highly recommend this stay. The hot tub experience outside was amazing. Crabbing and fishing was a lot of fun. The cabin house was very nice and comfortable with lots of space to have a family gathering.

Lovely little getaway and super convenient. I think we would stay 2 nights next time to take full advantage of nearby trails but nothing beats a hot tub in a forest in winter. 😊 The yurt was quite gorgeous and well stocked with all the essentials so all we had to bring was food to cook. Location also perfect for spending an afternoon in Port Moody where we greatly enjoyed Spacca Napoli for lunch and picked up sausages for dinner at the little butcher/grocery next door to the restaurant.

We were initially doubtful about visiting in the winter, but as soon as we saw the Yurt, all our concerns disappeared. We were astonished by how beautiful and cozy it was, offering the perfect blend of warmth and charm amid the jungle setting. The interior was thoughtfully designed, making us feel right at home despite being surrounded by nature.

The rest of our experience was equally amazing—the staff was incredibly supportive, with special thanks to Hendrik Medwid for going above and beyond. The free boat ride was an unforgettable way to explore the area, and the sense of peace and privacy in the jungle was unmatched. The private hot water bathtub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure. It’s the ideal place to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature, and we’re already looking forward to returning next summer!

We loved our stay here and will definitely be back. First of all, the caretaker/on site staff is very personable, friendly and accommodating. The location is absolutely beautiful! I had no idea we had this little gem so close to home. A 15 minute boat ride from Port Moody and you feel like you are miles away. The lodge we stayed in had all the comforts of home plus a cozy wood burning stove, fire pit on the deck and a private hot tub. The view from every window was amazing. Plenty of great walking trails, kayaking (resort provided kayaks) and a private beach. This is a perfect spot for a romantic getaway or there is plenty of room for a family get away or girls weekend!

Such an amazing place, even if it’s pouring rain! A much needed getaway but so close and accessible from the city. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone! We stayed in the glamping tents and they had everything we needed and more! Loved the hot tub 🙂

We were in need of time away from day to day things, especially with a 5 year old. I happened to see an ad for this location and immediately caught interest. I booked a last minute stay for 2 nights as a Christmas gift for my small family, and do not regret it. The staff are amazingly nice. Henk, was on top of everything and very helpful during our stay. Him and Cara (who we were in contact by email) made our little vacation completely stress free. Made us wish we booked an extra night instead of just 2. We walked the little trail a few times, which our son loved and kept begging for us to keep walking. Even with the rainy weather, we were all comfortable in the lodge and around the grounds. A definate destination for a faraway feel, not so far away from home

This secret little gem of a place is hidden in the woods alongside the ocean. The 10 min boat shuttle from Rocky Point helps it feel like you're miles away from everything despite the proximity to the city. The cabins are clean, well stocked and super comfortable. It was the perfect spot for a quick getaway from it all without having to travel far. Thank you for the wonderful time and service. Will be back for sure!

My best friend and I had the absolute best time at the resort!
We stayed in the yurt which was fully equipped with everything you would need.
Great hiking trails, kayaks, sauna and more is available on site!
We would definitely go back!
