A nice place to stay. The room was very clean, had a good bed, and it was all laid out comfortably. The owners are wonderful. Due to extreme fatigue when I arrived late at night, I left the key in the door, and the owner saw it and had it waiting for me the next morning in the office, after I frantically searched my room. They were very nice about it. The area is right on the road that becomes the Trans Canada north and there are plenty of places to eat or shop within easy walking distance. I recommend the breakfast place in the plaza by Metro supermarket.
I also liked the gazebo, which was a great place to enjoy the beautiful autumn weather and smoke a joint far enough away from the rooms. I would definitely stay there again.

I put one star because I rented a room for 5 days for a friend from out of town, and I paid in full and had filed a credit card everything they wanted. But I got refused to check my friend in and told to go across the street, in which they were already booked up. Why neither of us have drivers licenses. I told my friend that this is how people end up homeless and treated like they are pulling a scam, when indeed we weren't. I guess if you're from out of town and have no drivers license your better off to go to some other town because your not welcome at this motel. Totally insulted. I could hold my friend up because my place is too small and because I'm sick with cancer have too many care providers coming and going. But I guess if you look like a homeless person or a drug addict then your judged as one. Sorry looked like a nice motel but I guess because we looked like criminals we get treated like them too. Very sad but I'm sure the people there don't care.

A great little spot. Clean and comfortable. Super easy check in process, as we had no reservations. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was clean. The beds were comfy and the sheets were nice. It's right on the main road, but we didn't hear any traffic noise. It's everything you need after a long day of driving.

Had a great experience.
We were looking for a hotel and passed by the Catalina Motel.

The owner is very nice and allowed last minute booking.

We were a family of 7 and got 2 rooms.

The rooms were SUPER CLEAN AND NICE! The beds felt like a cloud, they had a smart air conditioning, floor is cleaned PROPERLY.

The design is so minimal and elegant at the same time. Nice paintings, great color palette.

The bathroom is nice bit a little tight. They prepare everything so nicely.

They also clean your rooms everyday! Also, very quiet!

There's even a KEURIG coffee machine!

I would definitely go here again. Really reccomend!

We stayed there on our journey from GTA to Calgary. Owner was very helpful. We had to make a last minute change in our schedule and we were accommodated as there was vacancy. It was immensely helpful.

The unit was very clean, tidy. Location is very convenient, right on the side of the road. Only downside is, you get to hear the sound of cars passing by. But we did not find it to be of much disturbance, especially given the fact that my wife is quite a light sleeper.

We found the place to be of really good value, comfortable place to spend the right in the middle of our journey.

Clean, friendly service and well thought out.

Catalina Motel had everything I needed and nothing I didn't, keeping costs down. If you're looking for a clean, safe place to sleep and shower and don't need all the extras of a hotel, this is the perfect spot.

Staff was friendly and accommodating, with fresh towels every day that were actually soft. Parking spaces were the width of each room, so I was always parked close to my door and it meant there were no headlights beaming into my room.

I was concerned about noise from the busy road, but with the fan of the AC unit creating white noise in the background, I didn't notice the traffic.

There was even comfortable chairs for my brief moment of downtime on my business trip.

I will absolutely stay here again.

If you’re looking for a place just to sleep then it’s fine. Everything looks feels and smells dated. The entrance door was impossible to open and close which is not acceptable. We would definitely not stay again at this motel. Spend a little more and get a proper hotel.
