A beautiful facility with amazing residents but unfortunately management alongside most of the staff working there make it an unbearable, uncomfortable and toxic environment to be in. The ratio of residents, to staff working is never suitable for everything that they require us to do, not to mention a retirement home with that many people needing long term is dangerous in many ways than one.
I could say a million things about this place and not one is good.
The residents deserve so much better.
I’m shocked this building hasn’t been shut down.

I’m thrilled to see the positive changes at Central Place under new management! The staff is incredibly caring, and the activities are diverse and engaging. The meals are delicious and cater to everyone’s needs. It’s a warm, welcoming community where residents truly thrive. Highly recommend it!

My sister was placed in this Retirement Home and in the beginning she was happy with all the services,since new owners have taken over she is not happy with any of the programs that were signed up for.Meals are terrible and barely eatable,salad without dressing,very small portions on a small plate,no PSW when needed, workers entering rooms at anytime,no activities or exercise programs,it has become a very poor choice for her and is very depressing for her as well.I have told her that I will be reporting this to the right authority even CTV.

About 5 years ago with the previous owner this place was amazing. My late great-father-in-law went here. The owner cared more about the care for the elderly than his pocket book. This is not the case with the new owner. The current owner now charges for everything. Eg. To get food delivered to your room it’s a surcharge. They had a calendar full of events and excursions. Now they have a new staff (old staff left) and empty rooms. New owner: sell for a loss. Get into a different industry that exploits a different age group.

My grandmother lives here and she loves it. There are staff around 24/7 so she feels much safer. Knowing that there is always someone there for her gives us peace of mind. She has all of her independence and any support she needs. It is such a great place.
