Stayed for 2 nights of ice fishing. Perfect setup in the cottage for 6 guys clean, warm, and comfy. Caught some nice walleye and had a blast.

Just back from a fishing trip to Sand Bay cottages. Bungalow was great with more than enough room for our group. Huts were spacious and warm. Jeff and the hut crew made sure we were on fish. Even moved us when we weren't. Would gladly return.

We spent a week at Chalkley's Sandy Bay Cottages. We really enjoyed our time. Our cabin was comfortable and fully equipped. We rented a boat and enjoyed some fishing and general exploring in the area. The boat was also well equipped. Our kids really enjoyed the water toys (paddle board, kayaks, etc.). The sandy cove is nicely sheltered and shallow enough to make it easy to get on and off the toys. Beyond that, the owners, Jeff and Kim, are great people. Easy going and very helpful. We had a great time and would definitely repeat.

Second annual trip, even better than the first! Minnows stocked and waiting in your heated shack, fun transportation to and from, well equipped/modern cottages. What more could you ask for when looking for a fishing destination? Jeff puts you on the fish, plain and simple. 3 days with two shacks produced 80 fish and some tasty walleye. We can’t thank Jeff enough, we booked our 2021 trip upon checkout.

Our group decided that we would "go back" to staying at a cottage instead of spending nights in an Ice bungalow. We wanted the added comfort and Chalkley's Sandy Bay operation truly fit the bill. The cottage was clean, comfortable plus we had the added advantage of satellite TV for the die hard hockey and football fans in our group. We found the owner, Jeff, very friendly and accommodating and he did put us on the fish. The huts were large, warm and bait was waiting for us when we arrived. We had a fantastic weekend.||I would recommend his operation to anyone looking for a great ice fishing experience!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Chalkley's Sandy Bay Cottages during late Spring of 2013. Jeff, Kim and family provided friendly service, that went above and beyond. Our cottage (cottage #1) was very comfortable and homey. Our favorite. Fishing was outstanding. Lake Nipissing is truly beautiful, especially the sunsets. Our two week stay went by far too quickly. We look forward to returning someday and highly recommend Chalkley's to anyone looking for a truly memorable vacation.

BEST DAY EVER!! Just had an amazing day of ice fishing. The hut was warm and comfortable and the Walleye were biting! We caught at least 12 and got to keep 3. (There was a convenient outhouse, which, frankly, was unexpected AND a huge relief.) The Chalkleys are the perfect hosts, gracious and accommodating. The camp setting is picturesque with beautiful views, even in winter. It will be gorgeous in summer, I'm sure. I got to tour some of the cottages as well and they are all really nice, fully equipped, and perfect for families. I'm sorry the season is almost over. Jeff Chalkley knows his lake and where the best fishing holes are. I will definitely be back in the summer to go out in a boat, but it will be difficult to top this day.
