I love visiting the Chase Museum and I take visitors there. There are lovely museum building displays and gardens outside, some new displays for Communities in Bloom this summer. The Museum has some history of Chase and area and some interesting historical artwork. The Museum director is very helpful. Great to catch it on a walking tour around downtown Chase with start at Museum, loop from the down town for coffee or brunch and see the lovely floral displays, and large murals and art at center of downtown then head past curling club parking lot to the Willson Park to see permaculture gardens and head east along Chase Creek to the bridge past the health centre and walk across bridge turn left before you get to highway 1 for road to the Chase Creek Waterfall parking lot north of the highway with trail under the highway to the the beautiful easy new wide trail to the new benches and beautiful sculpture by the Chase Creek waterfall. Then you can loop back to Museum or return downtown for an afternoon ice cream or bite of supper. It is a wonderful outing easy daytrip from Salmon Arm to Kamloops or Falkland.

Truth be told, we stopped in Chase because of a traffic tie up on Hwy. #1. We came across the Chase Museum and we went in to check it out. It made me realize that, for as many times as we pass by little towns on our way to other destinations, we can very easily miss out on really interesting parts of the history of our Province. The museum may be small but it has a lot of really neat things to look at in history to read about. The curator Reese was very friendly and helpful. When we told him how we ended up there he even look up alternative driving routes for us on his computer. I'm really glad we ended up stopping there!

Fascinating museum, full of the town of Chase history. Many artifacts well preserved, and displayed beautifully. An old re stored homestead house which easily draws you back centuries, to a time before the areas popularity.
